Our two years of being curb-stomped, isolated and used as a reps farm has had an enormously transformative effect on our political psyche. Having gone through that gauntlet, we cannot in good faith ever support similar unwarranted action against other alliances, even if they are ones we traditionally have had our differences with.[b] In that regard, the Order finds itself very concerned and upset with MK's reasoning for their aggression.[/b] This is a war we do not want. Granted, the concept of a "valid CB" has been dead for a long time in CN. Granted, we completely understand the political motivations for MK's actions: tensions are developing between their allies and their main rivals will never again be as vulnerable as they are now. This is a completely logical move for them. However, it is as ruthless as it is logical. It is a course of action that highlights that we live in a chaotic world; one where strength is all that matters, and the weak can do nothing but cry from the moral high ground. [b]The New Pacific Order, despite our ancient history, does not support this kind of warlord-dominated anarchy. [/b] However, we are an alliance that wants to stand by its honor and its commitments, regardless of the costs. We have many allies with a probable stake in this conflict, even if they are on a side whose actions we cannot get behind. We view it as our sacred duty to be at their back, especially when they have been at our side when we needed it most. The New Pacific Order is fully aware of which side most of our allies stand on, and we will fully back them, via force of arms if needed. [b]We will not seek any reparations. We will not go for any stupid and punitive peace terms. We will not seek to cripple anyone on the other side, even if we have a negative relationship.[/b] Our stake in this conflict is not about positioning ourselves politically, not about being an attack dog, and not about taking out an enemy. Our only desire is defending our allies. We are not blind to the fact that us standing by our allies will have consequences. Relationships will be strained, and invariably we understand that many people will be disappointed with our decision. To all of you, we can only re-affirm our commitment to our guiding principles: absolute loyalty to our members and friends, and promoting an ordered world, where everyone has the opportunity to be the best they can be. This conflict will in no way detract from our values or our long-term goals. Until then, we invite everyone to at least enjoy the opportunity to have some fun - regardless of the dubious circumstances - and pray for a clean and grudge-less conflict in as many areas as possible.
