Case Study: Ex-Moralists
And so we’re in what may be the final alliance sphere topic: Ex-moralists. Sometimes called Ex-AFM, or the old-beer-o-sphere minus XX. Ex-SF, etc. As you can see, the first and easiest criticism of the sphere is that they are not known as anything in particular, but rather are referred to as what they once were. In recent years, no one has referred to the “Chestnut” sphere or anything similar to that. How could this smattering of alliances be responsible for
Case Study: Cobrasphere
Lo and behold, we have reached the third case study. This time featuring Cobrasphere. It’s key to note that in the case of Cobrasphere and RFI, they both did not exist when this supposed stagnation was cemented. However, they both bear considerable responsibilities with regard to the state of current foreign affairs. I covered RFI last time, so I’ll cover Cobrasphere now. They are primarily low tier nations and are the most dominating force in that area. They
Case Study: RFI
The second blog post of case studies to discuss why the political game is/has been dead. This time I will spotlight my own bloc, Roll For Initiative (RFI). RFI consists of GATO, Legion, CLAWS, FTW & Argent. What makes this scattering of alliances at all responsible for the political scenario we find ourselves in? Well, I’m glad you read my rhetorical question and thus were forced to literally ask.
First and foremost, the criticism against RFI that is m
Case Study: Oculus
And so I’ve decided to return to blogging about the politics of Planet Bob because there’s something that’s been bothering me a lot lately, which is that people don’t seem to fundamentally understand the political situation from the perspectives of various alliances, especially not those they are aligned with. In general, that empathetic quality is something most foreign affairs ministers should have or have had, but these days many of our governments are st
Heya! It's Wory again, apparently looking to spam the blog front page with meaningless drivel that is probably significantly less important than the mod stuff (although, tbf, y'all've had over 40 aid cycles worth of time to read them, that's plenty lol). I'll hopefully make up for it in quantity, though.
History: I, um, spent like an hour one day reading that stuff and haven't gotten back around to reading more. Someone please yell at me to keep going and learn about stuff that happened after
Hello! I'm Woryand, and I've been playing CyberNations for a year and a half or so in IRON, NPO, and most recently Sellswords. I've recently gotten unhealthily obsessed with this game, so I decided to create this blog to occasionally comment on a bunch of random stuff I've been thinking about (probably better than spamming up my friends' dm's about them, anyways), which will probably be mostly related to CN but maybe a bit of other stuff too. Doesn't seem like any players have created any blogs
Following another long-term investigation moderation staff have taken action against another large mutli/shared account ring. In accordance with policy tech sent by the offending nations has been scrubbed. It should also be noted that this action was taken concurrently with several other now concluded investigations into unrelated rule violations which resulted in deletions and/or bans.
As a reminder: it is against the rules to run multiple accounts, it thus goes without saying that
With a bug in the forum software preventing us from managing them fixed, sanctioned alliance pips are now restored.
The following alliances are eligible for pips:
New Pacific Order
Independent Republic Of Orange Nations
New Polar Order
Freehold of The Wolves
Orange Defense Network
Green Protection Agency
The Dark Templar
Mostly Harmless Alliance
I used to post quite a lot on these forums. There were a few reasons for this; the main one being that early in my CN career I was on the winning side of a couple lopsided wars and found myself bored to tears by them. I decided it would be more fun to try the other side, and you know I was right. Probably why I'm still here, but CN warfare against the odds is actually pretty fun. I'm also a fast typer and good at coming up with controversial remarks, especially crazy-sounding but technically pla
After many talks in the Leauge of Micros, there seems to be enough interest in pursuing Planet Bob’s first ever ‘Micro World War’.
The suggested rules of engagement are as follows:
1) All interested alliances are divided based on stats into two equal teams.
2) The Micro World War will have an official start date (hopefully in march) and a duration of NMT 14 days- both parties will know the start date well ahead of time.
3) There will be a ‘no ghos
Over the past few months the moderation staff has been monitoring a large ring of multiple/shared/gifted accounts. We wish to inform you that we have "corrected" the actions of those involved and removed the tech sent by the illicit nations.
As a reminder each individual person playing the game is allowed to have one nation. You may not use proxies, virtual private networks, or other tools to evade this rule. You are also not allowed to transfer your account to another player upon de
Being a member of the newly formed League of Micros, I want to explain what the League of Micros is, it's a round table setting for micro alliances (friends and enemies) to come together and share their ideas of how to make the world interesting and to promote activity. It is not a bloc, it is not a treaty, and it's not enforceable. Think of it like the United Nations for Micros. The purpose of the League of Micros is to work as a community to promote our own micro world. It does not prevent mic
"It's a trap," the Zigûr answered mildly.
Of course, it was his trap, and although it wasn't perfect, it was the best he could manage on such short notice. He sighed at the fact he only had five tanks to ambush the enemy column with. The barbarian detachment was returning from the plunder of a small town on the outskirts of his little kingdom, and keen eyes had reported to him it's numbers and composition. One super-heavy escorted by a number of lesser tanks and artillery pieces. Pee
In the first meeting since the inception of Emperor Drecq as leader of the Erusean Republic the Imperial Court along with the Inner Circle met with the Emperor in a closed door session to discuss the economic situation of the nation. The nation has recently seen a small economic growth and has received a sum of cash for its technology sales. This has led the Inner Council to believe it was time to discuss advancement with the Emperor and the Imperial Court. Ultimately the call falls to Emperor D

I know where your signature image comes from.
You should try to act more like Guts and less like Casca. And realize that Junka is more than a little bit like Griffith.
For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, Galerion knows. Also you can read this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Berserk_characters
I haven't provided an update in a while, so I'm going to do a short one now because I'm procrastinating doing real work.
A week and a half ago I ran an ultramarathon (50k) at Lake Tahoe. It was gorgeous. It looked like this:
It was fantastic and wonderful and I'm moving there again as soon as I can, much to certain people's likely chagrin.
I have another ultra in another week and a half. I'm hoping to run 40 - 50 miles (65k - 80k), as i
Alright, so for the general understanding...
The purpose of a functional alliance sovereign is to lift the AA above the state of nature
Developing civilization increases hard military assets like tech and warchests, but also the promotion of culture, membership count, economics, etc
Civilized alliances go to war to defend and advance their strategic interests (i.e. developing hegemonic standing, protecting allies, the "game of thrones" etc)
Rogue nations and AAs
The alliance we face, Supernova X aka "Imperium" of Supernova X, has for a long time held animosity and ill-will for Apocalypse Meow. This has been demonstrated time and again. Every time we try to use diplomacy, they use it to weaken our position and to further their goals of eliminating our fair alliance. We fight this war to put an end to this festering mess once and for all.
Let us pray for the salvation of all of those who live in that totalitarian darkness–pray they will discover the jo
It's no secret that this world is beginning to dwindle, and the end of times is close. The question is, how do we go about stopping it? We've tried shaking it up, we've tried leaving it be, and yet the game continues to die off.
This game needs new blood, and an active admin. But we can't expect admin to suddenly get active now that the game is dieing, he has even less incentive than he did before. So it falls on us, the players to bring this game back to its former glory, or into a
