Lets say a small alliance linked to TOP declares a war on a small alliance that you're treatied to, say DICE. You defend Dice and then TOP defends that ally, and now we're off to the races in that war that TOP seams to want against NPO because the next move is NPO coming in to defend you guys. Now ask yourself do you want TIO and the rest of US on your side? I'm not saying we don't have NPO's back, because we do. TIO is FAR more likely to bail and be on the other side of what is to come (dont act like there are not logs floating that support this) than they are to stay with NPO.
