Our relationship is old, like the oldest there is at the moment in CN, and its deep and with times sometimes its v. simple, sometimes its v. complex, sometimes FA paths are aligned, sometimes they arent and we always try to figure out a way.
Between TOP and IRON, if you look at the history, there have been times where our paths are same, and times where they aren't. Now at present, what happens between IRON and TOP remains IRON and TOP's business .Now about other stuff, you misunderstand the hands-off approach, We work extensively and on day-to-day basis with our allies towards our common goals. There's alot more to it then what you see, hear or read on OWF or grapewine. We've never been the ones to beat drums of our successes and making things happen. We do our stuff and people who need to know, know.
BUT, we dont tell our allies you can sign off here or you cant, they dont need our permission nor we expect to give them our permission or blessings. Do we tell them of our opinions on their decisions, hell ya. All of our allies are mature enough to know what they're doing and I dont beleive we have the right to dictate the agenda and override the goals set by the membership and govts of our allies.
Anyway, that's my personal opinion. If you need to know more about how we do things, you're always welcome to our boards and can always drop a msg to our govt members.

Smart RL hegemonies do. There's more to staying on top than having a big stick. That doesn't mean they'll let it stop them from doing what they want to do, of course.
Yeh, its a control system for the strong to 'legitimise' their actions and a small carrot for everyone else.

I dont think they'll attempt to create a very overt Continuum-type bloc. I think its more or less understood that without a doubt SG is a hegemony, how things pan out in future remain to be seen.

There is no need to assume, you have a case of Legion in front of you, you may also recall the case of FoK giving ultimatum to TOP to cancel on IRON or else FOK will cancel on them..these are just the two cases that came out in open, there are several more. There is then case of RnR and NPO that came to light on OWF recently. Just trying to spare you the assumptions

Those are some wild assumptions, I cannot speak for TOP, I cannot recall us gunning for MK. I can tell you a fact tho, around that ~time, Gre was trying to get IRON to backstab TOP while being allied to them and in same bloc, painting irrationality of almost similar scale that they're doing right now. I dunno what Gre was trying to achieve with that move other than create an irreparable divide within Citadel, tho I can only assume as I am not aware of the inside workings of Cit.

. People cannot pin the blame on MK, from what we've been told, they wish to move forward, not Ramverse. In all honesty, CnG alone cannot be held as enablers of this infact if we look at the fighting capabilities of the engaged alliances, the significant superiority of fighting power comes from outside CnG, heh, Gremlins aren't the ones pinning or enabling things with their grand total of 3 wars on the military front, its the political front where they're spending the currency earned via goodwill of their relations with others. I do not think others too would be keen or happy about being used as enablers, tho I do not speak for them.

Unfortunately and regrettably, I must agree with you. This in itself means the idea in OP is ~~.
Arbitration has happened in past provided both sides have enough faith and trust in the neutral party. In end-of-grand-wars tho, only neutrals and infra-huggers are really neutral by the end.., the first ones wont want to politicize their neutrality and infra-huggers dont really have the respect to carry the position.
