Casus Belli, Unicorns and the Holy Grail

It has been a while since I made any deposits in the litter box but I'm sufficiently backed up to pinch off a few thought nuggests this morning. It has long been a tradition in the Cyberverse to have a casus belli to justify a war. It didn't matter how flimsy it was or even if it was true. It was run up the flagpole and off to war people went. The discussions would be the usual "no u" back-and-forth nonsense depending on which side of the war the commenter was on. A Grand Arbiter for Cybernations?

Has the time come for Cybernations to employ someone to arbitrate on peace term disputes and perhaps even other inter-alliance disputes? Every war has the same back-and-forth jabbering about unfair terms and insulting counter-offers and as amusing as it is, it always ends up getting old as the usual mouth-breathers post the same guff in every thread and drive people away from the forum. Global Coldening

Ok, so it is local coldening... Had a massive thunderstorm this afternoon here in what was sunny Melbourne. It came with the added bonus of hailstones the size of golf balls and enough rain to turn Melbourne into Venice. Anyway, here are some pictures taken from my balcony and of my balcony which became a large icebox which would have been great had I had beer to put out there to keep cold. If you think my litterbox is full of crap...

Try stepping away from Cybernations for a month and returning last week! An endless assortment of people blubbering about alliances having to pay reps and being held in wars longer than they think they should be. Not that hypocrisy and whining come as a great surprise to me..actually no surprise at all. The main thing that leapt out at me was the balls-to-the-wall manner in which alliances that happily plundered fallen foes are now crying rivers of tears whenever anyone demands reparations from
