Bud, as much as I like you, you just finished outlining why various members of your bloc, including your own alliance, would consider my allies, and me by extension, to be natural enemies. You may not be actively plotting to kill anyone, but that's not really necessary for opposition, is it?
I guess not Delta but people are reading way more in to this bloc than is there.

To be fair, STA has never let our history with Valhalla die, but we're certainly not "coming for you." I've gotten the impression from this thread that your blocmates think SF is planning to do so. I really have no idea if this is true, but I just want to put it out there that there can be a long term, healthy dislike amongst alliances without anyone coming around the mountain to settle the score.
Difference is Tyga would love nothing more than to see us beat and have STA take part in it. Difference is there are some in this thread that want us utterly destroyed and disbanded. Before people say nu uh look back at some of the ranking threads over the last year and youll see. I believe it went something like this "I wouldnt want to have to fight them but if i did i would destroy them"

All I have to say is this: I remember when Rok were worth something.

When I was proud to be allied to them.

That...wasn't all that long ago. Yet it seems so very, very far away.

We'll see you in hell, Ragnarok.
Wow is that a threat or a promise just wondering?

Winter is coming....to Hell?

Hell may very well freeze over.

I think the go-to-hells show just how much GOD, CSN and RIA really ever valued their relationship with Rok to begin with.

That little story by delta up there is good reading material. You should re-read it. It explains where all this anger from GOD towards Rok came.

Fine.

<snip>

So in other words no one at SF was ever formally informed by Rok that they weren't going to defend Polar, when they finally did inform you that was the case, you decided to put the "fix" in on the war for them even though the splitting of the bloc was pretty much already a foregone conclusion, and then when you decided to pressure Rok afterward about treaties they held that you didn't like (I am no stranger to that sort of pressuring...), they had already decided to pull up stakes and move on.

There's salty, there's bitter, then there's whatever you are beyond that I guess. <_<

I am amazed the the amount of hostility towards this group though. While neither DH nor PB was given a warm reception, their criticisms were about how evil they'd be. Other blocs have been greeted with apathy. This may be the first major bloc that I've seen announce itself and be threatened, however subtlety, and so soon.

I'd like to think that means we've done something really fantastic. :)

It's what I think of Rok.

I suppose "$%&@ 'em" would be more concise, wouldn't it?

I find it mildly ironic to see you and Rok getting along so gloriously again.

Actually I'm quite pleased by this newest development. It's sure to bring some tension and fun for a little while and the bloc roster reads like a to do list to me. Who could ask for more?

Prior to this WE followed SF on every errand it ever ran including some things that were, to be honest, rather stupid.
Oh, I can't at all let this one go. I mobilized my alliance to roll Ragnarok's enemies on less notice than 24 hours on multiple occasions. I did this out of love, and loyalty, and because Hoo and you and others had no one else that could have your back in that way. I watched MA come into being and I safeguarded and watched over it like a hawk, making absolutely sure no one got within inches of it without feeling a great deal of pain. I hesitated in welcoming RoK to SF due to your CDT ties but very, very rapidly made a brother in Hoo - someone that had a little more swagger, and a little more carelessness - than most of SF. Someone I could enjoy, and did enjoy, many years of politicking and warring with. And always, ever always, RoK behind him. His baby. Kait can ruin it. You can tell lies. But neither of you can claim with a straight face that we dragged you on stupid errands. The stupid things SF did, as others consider them to be, were usually done with the full consent of all involved - and usually spearheaded by me/GOD and Hoo/RoK. After he left, if anything, you personally were the one supporting and egging on stupid moves - as attacking UINE would have been, as it would've handily destroyed your own ally and their entire sphere. You, more than anyone, told Ego that was a good idea and should be done immediately. You, who instead of having your allies back, didn't even know who to contact in Polar when it came time to bring them into the mediation and back up UINE's stupidity. I had to go get people. Because I actually know Polar, and you just played at being their ally while stabbing them in the back.

I don't know how you proverbially get out of bed in the morning, but I'm glad it's no longer mine. Honestly.

You mean like when you implicitly threatened someone's alliance because they said something in this thread that you didn't like?

Well this is going well.

I would like to thank SoM for being classy.

I would like to thank the well wishers for the well wishes,

and I would like to thank GOD and RIA for at least helping to get Asgaard's name out there, so few people seem to know we exist. :awesome:

But really, if any of you would like to talk come see me on IRC (usually late) I am sure we can work through some of the obvious angst. Not everyone here has a chip on their shoulder.

Fine.

When, after months of work, mostly by Xiphosis and almost none* by Rok gov, to prevent a war between Polar and PB to come to pass, SF received the CB from VE, we all groaned and the first thing we heard from Rok on the subject, from Rampag3, was that he was angry enough to hit Polar himself. What followed were, what? a couple days of discussion by SF delegates during which time Tautology was an active participant and never once objected to the CB, war or indicated that he'd want to defend Polar. He also had a conversation directly with Impero where he indicated that he didn't have a problem with the CB but never, and this will be important later, said the words "I will not be defending Polar."

Then, less than a day before war was going to be declared, Hoo left to join Polar because Rok wasn't planning to defend, and the alliance had a major issue about the whole thing. This was immediately followed by Taut claiming to his membership that woah, woah, woah, he always intended to defend Polar, and he'd never said "I won't defend Polar" so it must be true! Also, SF's fault for not stopping the war, and not his. We then discussed, with Taut, what we'd be doing about the mess of conflicting treaties that were going to result. I told him I'd be defending Rok. I then went and got a last minute agreement from the PB side that they'd go easy on Rok if RIA fought for the PB side as well (which, incidentally, I was going to do anyway because we had treaty obligations to uphold. This meant GOD and R&R were able to deal with their own obligations, but committed to defending Rok if anyone more than SLCB was put on them. We all, in that chat with Taut, discussed the fact that Rok would be going in for Polar, GOD and R&R would be helping defend PB, and RIA would be doing both. When GOD and R&R declared, Rok was upset about SF splitting from them, so Taut told them that GOD and R&R had declared without consulting him and that they were trying to get in early to avoid having to help Rok.

Then, after the war, there was a discussion in the delegates channel about reviewing treaties. In it, dislike was expressed for two of Rok's treaties, the more problematic of which they wound up canceling anyway, and when pressed on the matter, Kait walked out of the bloc on a spur of the moment decision, despite not planning in doing so at the beginning of the conversation, there being nothing in the conversation that required immediate or even rapid action and the fact that most of the bloc gov, including myself, weren't present and that I got to find out that Rok intended to leave by reading about their withdrawal on the OWF.

Excuse me for being upset to discover how much they actually valued our relationship.

*They did, in fact, a couple months earlier cheer on the idea of SF attacking one of Polar's direct allies (UINE) in a political climate that would have almost certainly resulted in Polar getting rolled by PB
Let me help you with that Delta, you were absentee for most of what you speak of.

BOTH and Rok worked to keep Polar and PB apart (though Xiph had more stroke there due to his relationship with VE). When I got on IRC, I was immediately queried by Impero, Xiphosis and Big Z, ALL THREE Of whom were selling it to me as a true screwup by Dajobo and a fair CB. The acceptance of the CB that is touted thereafter is actually my angry response to what i believed at the time was a cause for war between two allies I treasured. I did indeed say I was angry enough to hit them myself; I had worked to try to lower the tension. However, I also said that any call would be Taut's. Anyone claiming I voiced support for the CB as a representative of Rok is lying. Anyone allied to us knows that the Emperor calls the shots. Additionally, as we know, the CB over time was called increasingly into question.

I wish we had been more forceful in screaming that Polar would be defended; however, and this is important, we told SF BEFORE ANY AA IN THE BLOC HAD DECLARED. No one in SF has been able to explain to me why CMEA was so damned important once our intentions were known. especially since SF made such a show of not getting militarily involved in that mess from the start. In spite of Taut was told, how that happened is still amazing.

Finally, during the war (Delta cannot even get the timeline right) Xiph pushed for FA decisions that we had already stated would occur after the war and no sooner; given the climate that had emerged in SF we took our leave. That you think it was unnecessary is a personal opinion. The idea that we would wait for a semi-active AA leader to return from vacation to defend our right to determine our ties is laughable.

The idea that we simply chose to reject you is your own mind comforting itself. By making things into an ultimatum in which we could either decide our AA with input from our friends or operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of GOD made our decision easy even though it was painful.

Let it go; we have. Rok is not even discussing SF much less plotting against it. It is a part of our history but in the end exactly that...HISTORY. I had no idea that when we left SF we would inherit jilted ex-lover level hateration. Try yoga...get a hobby. But if you cannot remember the good times and just be happy that everyone is where they are, then just leave us be. Dark is the day when the AAs threatening Rok on the OWF are in SF.

I'll admit it, I'm just laughing at this point at the anger.

Thread has taken a certainly interesting turn, I am eager to read Rampage's replies.

You have some !@#$@#$ nerve, Ramp. All I'm going to do is point out the TPF war. If anyone needs a history lesson on what happened there and who was dragging who into a surprise blitz at 4 am on the Sunday after Christmas you let me know and I'd be happy to detail the whole thing.

Oh boy. I think I can safely speak for Empirica, Randomly, Pez, Dajabo and myself when I ask; when, where, and how were you doing this? Because we were, and you were absent.
