So your problem is that someone ratted out your bullying.
It's a common and often productive tactic to start out by offering high in any situation where pecuniary negotiation is expected. If that's bullying, every individual who interviews for and receives a job in the nation of Quinoa Rex is a bully.

I don't seem to recall any instances of us trotting out Ivan from the retirement pasture just to try and appeal to the better nature of folks who we've alienated with our shenanigans.
No, he does that himself without your prompting.

No, our problem is that they ignored all standards of tact and diplomatic protocol.

Sorry. I'm not a huge fan of amsg (due to the crying and queries it elicits) and, in my sequence of posting the announcement in various channels, I started in MK channels as they were at the top of my list. :(

It's ok, some of us were waiting by the F5.

Speak negatively in public about the Mushroom Kingdom?

"That'll be $12,000,000 and 250 tech, pls."

How cute.

Very well put. I still strongly disagree with you but you're making sense. Unfortunately I think RV and NSO are right on this one. Perhaps if you and Heggo spoke when this all started this might have not escalated. I guess now, we wait.....

Haha, how quickly they rush to pay when they see we're serious!
lololol...oh wait.

Remember the part in the WA thread where heggo, Emperor of the NSO stated he was completely willing to pay the full amount, once he received confirmation from MK gov that the 3M/50T already sent was not sufficient, and that they were sticking to the 15M/250T?

The gloating, it...it feels so empty now. :(

talk big and you get slapped back into your place. that's the way of the world

And trotting out Archon to save your hides and use his friendships to save yourselves seems to work just fine.

Considering MK has been completely lacking in tack for the longest time now, I don't think you have much room to call out others. But I truly am sorry I hurt your feelings by being plain ol' mean. I had no idea you tough-guys were so sensitive. Want a tissue?

Archon isn't retired. Nice try though. Also, if there was ever a time to trott out Ivan, I would seriously hope appealing to the better nature of people isn't your idea of when best to. Finally, I'm certainly open to hear who exactly we've alienated.

Pretty much this. MK thinks its the victim because I exposed their naked flaws before the world. I showed people the ugly face behind MK's mask of faux honor and respectability - a face they've tried so hard to stay blind to for as long as they have. And the truth is neither I nor the NSO did any wrong here. I did what anyone in my position should have done. I exposed heavy handed dealings in backrooms before the public. I prevented them from hiding their ugliness behind their veil of private channels, and it stands before everyone.

MK believes that speaking against them is now a crime. I've seen this before, and I fought against it then. Call me a fool and an idealist, but I am not going to bow out of fear, and I am not going to be held silent out of fear of reprisal. The world not only deserved to know what I shared with it, it needed to know. Now there is no excuse. No one is ignorant now.

If Rebel Virginia were the Emperor of the New Sith Order and held final say in all such issues then you would have a point. But he has a boss.
Oh, he has a point. It's just on an arrowhead, not in his speech.

As was just pointed out in #mushroom - look how quickly NSO paid up when they realised MK was serious.

So the line now is "NSO accepted a bad deal so they could use it as propaganda against MK"? I see some improvements from the sheer stupidity of saying "NSO accepted, then the deal is ok", but it's still the 4th or 5th reason you present for this circus of imbecility.

It's a bad reason. There was nothing to negotiate, much less in values that total 750% of the damage caused. It was wrong hours ago and it's wrong now.

I am curious though, since you say the value you're forcing them to pay is higher than you would pay, tell me, what value would you consider fair for the offense of cancelling on a trade partner?

Therefore, I come to the last piece of historical evidence. Rebel Virginia agreed to the sum to be paid. The aid packets were sent, though all have since been canceled save one that was accepted....
So instead of accepting the aid and letting the issue die, you instead felt the need to slap NSO in the face. 1 making them send it again and 2 by making this more of a public spectacle. This is quickly turning from the NSO's cry for attention into MK actually doing exactly what the NSO called them out for. The first time it was NSO's fault for not negotiating, but this is extortion.

The Mushroom Kingdom expects the remaining payment to be delivered by 11:59PM server time, the 10th of November, 2010. Should the Sith Order fail to deliver, then the Kingdom will interpret the deal as reneged and will respond accordingly.

Signed this 9th day of November, 2010

As someone who WANTS to favor the Mushroom Kingdom, you had me changing my mind...until this point. I think that one can reasonably say that regardless NSO accepted the deal. It probably never should have gone above a request for 3 mil to begin. And 3 mil plus 50 tech wouldn't have been enough to make a big deal about. However, one of the big things that RV was saying was he felt "threatened" into paying the larger amount. Maybe that was questionable before. However, since NSO hasn't said they will NOT pay it (or did they?) - why make this statement at all?

If you were truly organized, your slots would have been full with tech deals growing your nation with tech, but thus is the nation building tact of NSO.

Well judging from the fact that you pushed the "O SHI-, I GUESS WE NEED ARCHON TO SAVE US" button and he appeared, no, he isn't retired.
