rudekker
JOROST PROCLAIMS A NEW ORDER IN INVICTA INVICTA TO BE TRANSFORMED Dear Leader to also be “Lord Protector” and “Defender of the Faith” Today, April 9, 2010, Jorost becomes the longest-serving leader in the history of Invicta, surpassing even its glorious and divine founders, Dawny and DoubleU. To commemorate this epic event, and to cleanse Invicta of impurities and remake it in his righteous image, Jorost, the Dear Leader of Invicta, has proclaimed that as of this date, Invicta will be transformed into REGNUM INVICTORUM, THE REALM OF INVICTA. He has also proclaimed that he will be LORD PROTECTOR OF INVICTA, SOVEREIGN OF THE REALM and DEFENDER OF THE ONE TRUE FAITH. Invicta’s structure will be transformed to match the Dear Leader's vision. Beneath the Lord Protector will be the Lord Lieutenant as second-in-command. The four members of High Government will be the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Marshal of Invicta, the Minister of Internal Affairs, and the Chancellor of the Exchequer. These Great Officers will have authority directly underneath Jorost, and will be responsible for ministering to his physical, spiritual, mental, governmental, and carnal needs. Thus, only the most physically and mentally superb members of Invicta will be in this rank. In addition to High Government, the new ranks within the Realm of Invicta shall be Government, who shall help their masters in High Government recover from their ministering of Jorost's insatiable desires. Beneath these august men and women will be the PEERS, then KNIGHTS or DAMES of the Realm. The lowest ranks will be ASPIRANTS, KNIGHTS or DAMES ERRANT, and ABEYANT members. The Abeyants shall be treated like the animals they are, and will be hunted for sport by the higher-ranking subjects of the Realm. The Office of His Highness the Lord Protector has issued the following statement:
Effective April 9, 2010, the full, official name of the Invicta alliance shall be Regnum Invictorum, Latin for “Realm of Invicta.” The standard short-form name shall remain “Invicta.” The terms “Regnum Invictorum,” “Invicta,” and “the Realm” may be used interchangeably in reference to the alliance. All members will be directed to change their AA to “Regnum Invictorum.” The Realm continues to assert sole sovereignty over the AA “Invicta,” and all nations flying that AA will continue to be considered members of the alliance until His Highness’ Government announces otherwise. His Highness’ Government acknowledges that relations between Invicta and some alliances in the World of Bob have not always been positive. It is our hope to leave the rancor of the past behind and to start fresh. To that end, His Highness the Lord Protector offers his sincere apologies to any and all persons who feel they have been wronged, maligned or mistreated by Invicta or any of her members in the past. Furthermore, His Highness' Government recognizes that Invicta's historical use of the slogan "Glory to the Undefeated" and its variants was seen by some as conceit and braggadocio. This is contrary to the desires of our revered and venerable Founders, who explicitly stated in our Charter:
"Invicta" is a Latin word meaning "undefeated," and in this lies our motto. A motto spoken not in bravado or arrogance, but in determination and fearlessness in the face of adversity.
Therefore we wish to state clearly that our use of the term "undefeated" is meant only to convey the sense of a strong and undefeated spirit. We freely acknowledge that we have been defeated in war, including the Karma War and the TOP-C&G War. Regnum Invictorum also wishes to state its commitment to our allies. Although we have withdrawn from Poseidon MDoAP bloc in order to concentrate more fully on internal matters, we continue to value our relationships with our Purple comrades. We particularly want to thank our former Poseidon partners, Valhalla, Olympus, BAPS and Legion, for their friendship and support. Invicta has always considered you friends, and looks forward to continuing that friendship in the PEACE ODoAP bloc. Regnum Invictorum further wishes to note that our Purple Haze treaty with our longtime friends at United Purple Nations is changed to a MDoAP, and to thank them for their continued support. It is our hope with these changes to usher in a period of renewal and rebirth for our alliance. We look forward to meeting whatever the future holds! Given under our hand and seal this 1,050th day of Invicta's existence, 9th April, 2010, /s/ Jorost of the Triune Republic, Lord Protector of Invicta
Edited April 10, 2010 by rudekker

Sephiroth
If this is serious does it effect any treaty relations. Edit: I caught this, Regnum Invictorum further wishes to note that our Purple Haze treaty with our longtime friends at United Purple Nations is changed to a MDoAP, and to thank them for their continued support. So I assume other than that they are the same? Edited April 10, 2010 by Methrage
Jorost
This is quite serious. It is intended to be a kind of "rebranding" (as much as I hate marketing-speak like that!), as well as to inject a bit more character into our alliance. More of a "theme," if you will. Inasmuch as we were co-founded by a Brit, and have strong roots in Kent, England, we felt it was appropriate to model our institutions, etc., on a British theme. We went with "Lord Protector" rather than "King" because, well, I just liked the sound of it. Our foreign relations will not be adversely affected, as I said. Jorost
Er, Timtacious, we did withdraw from Poseidon! It's PEACE that we're still in. /me sighs. Heh. Also, just to be clear, "Regnum Invictorum" is the full, official name. "Invicta" is still the standard short-form name. It's like the difference between "La Republique Francaise" and "France."
