Dochartaigh
Is your imagination that limited? No, but by the time we reach 100 billion dead, I don't know if there will be enough players left outside of neutrals to really reach beyond that. HHAYD
Then roughly 94.6% of all those who have ever lived, died in glorious battle. I'm fairly sure many of them were vaporized by nukes, or were massacred in steamrolling battles after the nuclear bombardment.
Helbrecht
Sucks to be a soldier on this planet i guess.Umm is there a statistic on their widows?
ChairmanHal
Thank goodness all the soldiers are clones. ^_^ No, if this were a real planet we would have irradiated it to the point of being uninhabitable long before now. When leaders do not fear death, when they never hear the moans of the wounded, experience the smells of the battlefield, nor see the mourning of the families that lost loved ones, they tend to think of their people as pixels and treat them as such--and that was true long before pixels even existed. That's not to say that no war is ever worth fighting. Some things are worth risking your life for, whether it is your family, your nation, or your way of life. But our leaders have an obligation to not waste our lives on stupidity, and to not allow us to be so vulnerable that we are a tempting target for someone who doesn't like us.
