  1. Sound is just a sensory input that we evolved. There is no reason why a computer/robot/AI/what have you wouldn't be able to have this same sensory input in the form of detecting vibrations in the air. Even if we couldn't design it ourselves, an AI that could reproduce in a similar manner to humans would undergo evolution and could possibly adapt itself to being able to hear if that were beneficial to its' survival.

All consciousness is is the ego that your brain sticks on top of all of the different senses and inputs and chemical messages that you're going through to simplify things and unite it all in a way that we can function. We're just a bunch of cells that have given up a certain degree of autonomy to be part of a larger, more fit organism. There is no fundamental reason why AI couldn't exist the same way that we do, other than what Ogaden was talking about in regards to us being made from different parts.

  2. The term "lapdog" may be inappropriate, but it is no secret that there are some alliances with more political pull than others, and others who will bend and twist themselves to be on the good sides of those certain alliances. It may not be a strict case of "we will do what you wish, master", but most cases of lap-doggery that you hear about often enough have some basis in reality.

  3. The part about accepting Opti could have been solved on your own with a quick trip over to INT's forums. He hasn't been accepted yet, and they've shown interest in talking with NoR and straightening things out. As for the tech deal, considering I see plenty of aid to NoR from outside alliances in the form of tech deals and straight up aid, I'm not sure what the problem is.

  4. There's nothing wrong with drinking alone.
While there isn't really anything wrong with drinking alone, the booze taste much better when drinking with good friends. Also drink to much by yourself and you might find a bottle of alcohol to be your best friend, which isn't something you want to have happen.

Oh, definitely, drinking with people is awesome. Thing is, most of the time the people who say drinking alone leads to abuse are the same people who spend every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night in front of the toilet because that bud light lime was just too good to pass up. There's something awesome about coming home from a long day, kicking back with a drink and watching something funny on TV that these people are missing out on. In fact, I'd go as far as saying that's a much more responsible use of alcohol than getting wasted with a few buddies playing some stupid drinking game.

  5. If you're the 12th strongest alliance in a game of well over 100 alliances and feel as though your hands are tied, then there's not much anyone can do for you. Seriously. Stop relying on everyone else for your amusement and make some yourself. This is a game meant to be played for fun; if you're not having fun, change something and play a little differently.
