Pretty much one of the most over the line things I've ever heard about in this game, and it was done to one of the most likeable guys in Polar. [/quote] Going to have to disagree with you, AvT is 36..... if you were 22 and your uni prof got e-mailed that, it'd be different, but when it's your boss and you are trying to explain how someone from an online nation building game decided to "troll" you, it's going to get uncomfortable. [/quote] To be perfectly honest, I think it's despicable regardless of the circumstances. [i]Any[/i] transgression between an online community and someone's real life is a big deal. Sometimes a big deal is warranted: contacting the authorities in someone's jurisdiction if they came into this or any other community and posted child pornography, for example. That is not the case here, however. Someone had an IC hate-on, mixed it with OOC stupidity, and the result was an entirely unwarranted and utterly despicable invasion of someone else's life. [/quote] Yes, my point was that the offenders, whoever they may be, sticked to some relatively "tame" stuff: CN memes, etc. Having to explain to your boss what is going on with "that CN thing" might be embarrassing but shouldn't prove to be a problem in the long run (or the next day, even). Except if I'm not privy to other things that were said/sent to his RL family/boss, this seems more like a case of "pfew, they only did that". This could have been much worse. As someone who's been the target of OOC attacks in other games before, there's nothing more uncomfortable than having to explain to a friend as to why a picture of them has been defaced (this was back on xanga). That they would irritate closer relationships of yours like your mother or your BOSS (which could really potentially jeopardize your livelihood) is just disgusting.
