Another year passed since the day that ended the illusion of a stable and friendly Green, and another year of success and relevance for Viridia. The main event of the past year was the signing of Pandora's Box – the new central bloc of its area of the treaty web, and thrusting Viridia into the spotlight.
Entering such a large and mixed bloc, in the top tier of world politics, had a predictable effect of attracting detractors, from the other power clusters. And, also predictably, the bloc made e
Hi Schatt, Mason, Genghis, Legend and all the rest in former UNSC, now GUN, NADC, GLOF, and any I've left out. How are things>?
2.5 hours ago a nurse just informed my gf and I that we we're pregnant. <<<
I've had 2 jo**ts and 2 beers since then.

So, corporate taxes.
How much does it cost to make a car?
No, don't laugh. Seriously. If I am a corporation, I need to pay taxes on my income. That's revenues minus expenses. So I really need to know what my expenses are.
What are they?
I make a car, and tons of materials go into it. I have leather, of course, and aluminum. Barium, Asbestos, Copper, Cobalt. So how do I figure all that out?
Just add them up?
Nope, can't do that, because companies maintain inventories. I got 1000 tons of alu
Sometimes in life we learn that, in order to help those whom we care most about, we must make terribly difficult decisions. So long as the greater good is maintained, even difficult choices can be somewhat mitigated. We've had to visit that belief of late. It has been difficult. Yet, we know that, in the outcome, the greater good is being served.
Today, Merlinus attained the venerable age of 500 days. For most who would read this writing, that would only be a distant memory. That's fine. For u
You will need.
1 x Clean tea pot (it is important that the pot is clean so that stale tannins that are in the residue inside of a dirty pot will not make your tea bitter)
1 x Clean kettle (Ensure that there is no scaling inside the kettle if you live in an area with hard water since this will alter the taste, if you live in an area with hard water consider using spring water or distilled water for perfect tea)
1 x stove, burner or hotplate
1 x Thermometer
1 x Teaspoon
1 x Tea strainer

The trend of politics in CN is that movement occurs multilaterally; WoTC, Karma, the World Wars, Unjust war, you name it, they all were effected on the coalition level. Thus, an approach to politics with a unilateral focus, such as the historical trend of signing non-chaining treaties with "friends", and not judging the political implications of "their friends", runs counter to the way politics actually occur. This carries with it the threat of having one's interests marginalized and one's movem

Our much anticipated show with the New Pacific Order's Master of Words, Sir Paul. Listen in to hear him slander RandomInterrupt and discuss the finer points of creating news in CyberNations.
I broke a tooth the other day and I just got back from the dentist today after having it extracted. So I am floating on a sea of Novocaine and happy gas at the moment. But hopefully the pain will stop now and I can get back to being angry at the CN world in general before long (I hate everyone equally so it is really neutral. ).

2.Miami Heat
currently Chicago has 1-0 lead in this best of 7 series. i think Chicago wins this series due to being a better rebounding team and a better bench. Chicago's best Offensive player in a PG (Derric Rose) and Miami weakest in Defense is the poing guard spot. no way can mike bibby and mario chalmers can guard Rose. if Miami can rebound the ball and keep in transition i think they have a good shot at it. but if the game is a half court game and Chicago can out re
I've noticed this for a while, so I thought I might as well throw it out there. I've done a lot of writing recently for finals, so I don't feel too verbose. Of course, if anyone is truly that interested in probing my assumptions, I'll probably start becoming progressively more tangent prone and wordier. Nevertheless, not to put a too fine a point on it: all CN Alliances are the same dull shade of OOC. Sure, there could be some cosmetic differences. Perhaps some weird personal animosity between s

here are more direct viewpoints on the issue.
Census numbers and stats from 2001 and 2011 perhaps provide some answers. Not "culturally sensitive" answers - but with 600,000 girls gone missing every year, perhaps it's time to trash the cultural sensitivity. The west has dropped tons of humanitarian ordnance for lesser "-cides"

2021 Estimated Budget, from CBO (figures in percentage of GDP):
Revenues: 20.8%
Mandatory Spending: 14%
Discretionary Spending: 6.7%
Net Interest: 3.3%
Deficit: 3.2% ($763billion)
That's the baseline from CBO. That assumes the Bush tax cuts are eliminated in their entirety, and we don't patch the AMT. That's tax revenue that Bill Clinton reached once at the height of the Internet Bubble. That assumes we basically cut all discretionary spending that isn't the military.
And that's still
So, I'm a naturally curious person. When something makes the rounds of the internet, and then keeps going for months, I'm going to have to check it out.
And this one, I resisted. I wouldn't touch it for awhile. But eventually, I had to give in, to search for the answer of why. Why was the Internet so obsessed with such a silly thing?
So I did the only thing I could do: I downloaded the pilot of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and fired it up in VLC.
And I enjoyed it.
And then I kep
This show isn't dead. Seriously, we want to do it. Unfortunately, we can't until like...July. I think July was the month we came to the last time we talked. AirMe, our primary recorder, is not available until mid-June. hawk_11 hawk11, the guy everyone listens for, is available now, but isn't available from mid-June until mid-July. Reasons for these availabilities are our own, mostly outside of CyberNations.

From rank 37 to 31 in a month is a very good achievement, and we hope that we can reach 20 by September. As of right now TTK is going through a Renaissance, with new programs, more members, and many more people on forums and IRC its seems as if TTK is going through a renaissance, and hopefully we will be sanctioned by Christmas, now i know this is a hard goal, but with the numbers TTK has and the potential of our recruitment, i believe that we can do it

I was sifting through maps of other nations for some reason, and came upon this near Fachi:
If it is zoomed in on, I think it says "Fachi". I don't know or very much care what it is or why its there. I just think its interesting.
In order to combat speeding the transport department of Novus Niciae has implemented the following policy.
Speed cameras have been set up along all major transport routes and all vehicles that are photographed at or below the speed limit are entered into a lottery to win cash prizes, these prizes are funded by the fines imposed upon those who are caught breaking the speed limit.
OOC: This is based of a RL Swedish policy.
I blew 6 hours straight today working on what has turned into a moderately-faithful build of the Water Temple from Ocarina of Time. It's actually coming along... er, swimmingly... but good lord is this game a time sink.
The hardest part on this project is tricking the water to flow the right way; I'm now working on that infamous vortex tunnel river thing after the room where you fight Dark Link. The completed rooms are beautiful though.
What I don't like is that the early rooms (not shown
