CyberNations Talkshow Ep. 10: A Chat with Sir Paul

http://cntalkshow.podomatic.com/entry/2011-05-18T19_50_12-07_00 Our much anticipated show with the New Pacific Order's Master of Words, Sir Paul. Listen in to hear him slander RandomInterrupt and discuss the finer points of creating news in CyberNations.

Now With Less Underscore

This show isn't dead. Seriously, we want to do it. Unfortunately, we can't until like...July. I think July was the month we came to the last time we talked. AirMe, our primary recorder, is not available until mid-June. hawk_11 hawk11, the guy everyone listens for, is available now, but isn't available from mid-June until mid-July. Reasons for these availabilities are our own, mostly outside of CyberNations. Stormsend's around. I'm not sure why he isn't blogging or something (~*~tHe CaLlOuT~*~).

CNTS Presents: This Day in History

February 16, 1568: The Roman Catholic Church sentenced the entire population of the Netherlands to death. In a surprising move, Dilber responded with a simple "No." "This Day in History" is brought to you by the Internet and alcohol, blurring the lines of CN and RL since 2006.

Hey Hawk, haven't seen you in a while

I know, it's been a wild month. I'll sum this up at the beginning for everyone: my computer is fried, so I no longer have any way to be on the podcasts for a little while. This could be anywhere from two weeks to two months, I don't know. But hawk, you haven't been on the podcast for the last two weeks either! This is true. Unfortunately I've also been dealing with some other unfortunate business outside of CyberNations. This business has been both time-consuming and mentally exhausting, so my

CyberNations Talkshow Ep. 8 Up Now!

In this magical episode, hawk_11 is temporarily replaced by Shantanafalanamann and RandomInterrupt fills the guest chair and explains all sorts of things the rest of his government will probably slay him for. Schamalamadingdongmann talks about the CoJ war front and we congratulate an apparently new GGA's formation (we've seen the forums, guys, this !@#$ is legit). Your comments are welcome. And encouraged. IMAGES: Edited GGA Flag The Lost Trashcat Card: AirMe

CNTS Ep 7 - Cortath

Hawk takes the day off, but he still manages to update the blog for the show before everyone else. Suck it. You can stream it online here: http://cntalkshow.podomatic.com/entry/2011-02-02T19_45_16-08_00

Dear MK-hating community

Please stop asking me if we're going to force the New Pacific Order to disband or keep them in perpetual war. I'm tired of those questions. Let me explain why you are silly. Keep in mind that I am only a baron in the Mushroom Kingdom, and I am nowhere near in the loop for government decisions and what I say might quite possibly be countered by what the alliance actually does. Actually, that's the first reason you're silly. I don't know all of what the government is seeking. Take a look at the m

Insert your feelings on MK here

All comments posted here are fair game for the podcast, which will be recorded tomorrow night (AirMe and hawk_11 willing). I don't have the time or energy to post my thoughts now, so I'll just let our devoted fans rant, rave or congratulate.

Community Service Position Available; Apply Within

Looking For: Ambitious alliance or group of alliances willing to fill unpopular role for greater good. Must be willing (and able) to get hands dirty, stir the pot, and cause problems. A Response Interview with Sardonic

I said in my last post that I enjoyed giving people the soap box when the opportunity presents itself. The interview with Xiphosis was posted only two days ago and it's one of the more popular posts in the blog; more importantly, it attracted the attention of someone on the other side of an event Xiphosis participated in. Sardonic requested to be interviewed, and in the interest of voicing more opinions and my own interest in the situation, I obliged. Here it is, unabridged.

A Special Interview with Xiphosis

I enjoy giving people a shot on the soap-box to speak. It's one of the reasons I got into this blog and this podcast: getting the full story; so when Chief Savage Man made the following request I felt obliged to get the story. Below is an unaltered interview with Xiphosis. It's lengthy, but I encourage you to read the entire thing. Afterwards, Chief Savage Man and the community at large, can decide the answer. These logs are unabridged.

Historical Changes in CyberNations

Over the years, CyberNations has changed a lot, community-wise. Sure, it's changed in-game, too, but that is negligible. Alliances adjust military strategies, but don't always come out on top because of it. What truly affects war and history are the relationships and power circles (or spheres) that form our coalitions. In years past, it was simple. One side versus another. You feel on the northern hemisphere of the treaty web or you fell on the southern hemisphere. Life was easier, then. You kne

What do you want to see old men spit at while remembering the good old days?

Since Alliance Politics, etc. are such a sensory overload, and since I adore you fans so much, I want you to tell me what topics you want to see blogged on. We here at CNTS like fan input, and since we're here to entertain you (while simultaneously making ourselves feel important by sharing our thoughts with you), tell us what in the CN world interests you and we'll blog on some of our favorite ideas.

Why You Should Listen to Us: hawk_11

As you know, AirMe has been conducting this podcast for quite some time. The first episode predates KARMA, and that predates a lot of you people out there. One thing we never touched on though is why you should listen to us. First, I'd like to think I'm not egotistical enough to actually suggest that if you don't listen to us, you're wrong. That's entirely incorrect, and any one who tells you that you are wrong for not listening to this podcast is themselves wrong. Also let me know who they are,

Please Stop Joke Announcements

Seriously, they were never funny. Well, maybe they were at one point, but they were definitely killed by noWedge, if not sooner. Now, don't get me wrong, I love a good joke. But you are seriously mistaken if you think substituting the war in "DoW" for something else is a great idea. I like a good joke thread, like this one here, but you need to make the whole thing something worth reading. I'm not trying to be some sort of elitist. Lord knows I'm not a quality poster, myself. Still, there is a

Welcome to the Official Blog of the Greatest Talkshow You'll Ever Listen To

Holy God, you're listening to us with your eyes. This is the official blog of the CyberNations Talkshow, featuring AirMe, hawk_11 and myself. Because schedules conflict and you guys are impatient, not to mention how boring things are right now, we're going to comment on things going on in-game so you guys don't have to wallow in the Alliance Affairs forum too often. Check back frequently, because you never know when one of us will be riled up enough to post something. We are always on the
