Within days, an entire alliance had sprung up from nothing, attracting the bored, the bitter, and the dispossessed. There was no grand vision or sweeping statement of intent, just a promise of something different. The only real unifying characteristic of our Brotherhood in those first days was that most of us couldn't stand the rest of you. One year later, Lintwad shared with the world the great news that the New Sith Order, contrary to most of our own expectations, was [url=http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=82178]a year old and growing[/url], recovering in the shadow of the BiPolar War. We had fought boldly and stubbornly in that war, and walked away with our nations smaller but our ego still as large as ever. Today, March 5th, 2011, the New Sith Order once again appears before you, the world, with its Emperor as the mouthpiece of this glorious Brotherhood of Darkness. We are still here. We have not had an easy year, yet we still stand strong and together, even as we continue to, for the third time in a little over a year, fight a war against opponents who hold most every statistical advantage over us. Over the last year, we have recovered, fought, recovered, and now fight again. In the process, we have watched many lesser alliances depart this world. Alliances that were never tested the same way that we have been tested have been unable to maintain themselves. Even as we have been battered, and even as we have been at times belittled or dismissed, we have proven that we, the Sith, are better. We are an alliance driven by the belief that we are better than you. We cannot lay claim to having the strongest nations or the most nations. We cannot lay claim to having the strongest geo-political position or the most treaties. But no matter what our material strength, no matter what our statistics, we have always claimed, and will always claim, to be better. This is a world devoid of character, of personality, of passion. From the beginning, we sought to change that. We have professed from our earliest days the belief that passion and conflict (whether martial or otherwise) are what drive us all and make this world a worthwhile one, and though we haven't always won or operated from the position of greatest strength, we have always embraced a good conflict. We don't care to rule over a peaceful coalition or to manage power structures, and we don't care to make friends with the inept, the cowardly, or the weak just because it's convenient. This world doesn't need yet another hanger-on, or yet another alliance clamoring up the ladder of sameness and mediocrity for a safe place at the top. This world needs the New Sith Order. So as we celebrate our second birthday, I pause to congratulate you on your good fortune. The New Sith Order still exists, and will continue to exist for as long as we are needed. Do not worry.
