  1. Pretty much all that open letter accomplished was making everyone who stuck up for GOONS internally look like fools.

It may not have been your intent for it to some off as a "screw you", but frankly that's what it was to us.

Well for what it's worth, my apologies for that.

It's funny that Sardonic appears to still believe that the plan to attack his alliance was started by UPN.

    I wasn't talking about WCE.

  2. and yet it is perfectly okay for PC and iFOK to let their ally burn... i don't get it. truly this is a masterpiece of hypocrisy. it is not alright for Polaris to throw one of their longest enemies under the bus to protect an actual friend and ally but it is okay for PC to throw a long time ally and friend under the bus and for iFOK to throw an ally and friend under the bus...

seriously, you guys need far better material. it is getting quite ridiculous with the amount of hypocrisy and double standards going on.

    Two things:

One: NEW themselves don't consider themselves "thrown under the bus" by PC and iFOK, unlike how TOP feels about NpO, and on that note, anyone involved with the negotiations before the war will tell you that NEW threw themselves under the bus.

Two: You are Dochartaigh, therefore your opinion is invalid.

  3. Keep talking, if the best example of we throwing friends and allies to wolves to save our hides is TOP in the Bi-Polar war, you'll need to try harder.

Four words for you: Ad hominem tu quoque

Also, tell me, how do you feel seeing PC become the new ODN?

Loving the implication that because you weren't friends with TOP that magically makes it okay to screw somebody over like that.

  4. With all due respect, Athens is a sovereign entity and very much capable of setting policies for ourselves on how to deal with situations like this. If others wish to challenge our sovereignty on who we accept into our alliance and when we accept them because of an intangible claim they wish to assert which is based on a past war, that is their right, but they had better be prepared to go to war to back up their beliefs, as we certainly are.

I realize that, I'm just saying.

This is the post you make to prove you're not arrogant?

Define rogue, and explain to me why attacking an alliance has anything to do with it.

What part of "They don't recognize RED as an alliance" aren't you getting here. A group of unaligned, by common raiding alliance definitions, cannot, by definition, have any crime comitted onto them, because unaligned are not recognized as having any sovereignty. Therefore the person they aided was not a rogue, because RED isn't a real alliance by their standards.

  5. No, Batallion peaced Tyler out, at which point the war was over, at which point Tyler applied to Athens and I later removed his sanction, as the war was over.

That's not really how it works in my experience. Regardless of the actual status of wars on the rogue, the rogue is only off the hook if and only if the people he is rogueing on allow it.

However, as RED don't have any treaties and are below 15 members, they are not an alliance anyway, so who cares I guess.
