Good afternoon my fellow old coots. This issue will be different than my usual OCWL publications. I will be counting down the top 25 disbanded alliances.

During our time on Planet Bob, we see alliances come and go. Some alliances make a huge impact on the world with their disbandment notice, others are soon forgotten about after they cease to be. This is an old coots' view on the 25 best alliances that have come and gone since the conception of Planet Bob. I based the rank of the these alliances on their stats, political impact and most importantly, their community.

Starting at #25, a short summary will be supplied and I will give an explanation on why I feel the alliance deserves the spot I gave them. Every day I will move onto the next alliance to give my explanation as to why they got the ranking they got. (Example: I will explain #24 tomorrow, and #23 on Thursday, etc)

They had had troubles with their allies, this coupled with ambition led to talks about creating a sub-alliance. This sub-alliance would serve as a little brother to the VE, and would be a life-long ally and friend, an alliance they would never had to worry about stabbing them in the back.

It was decided that they would establish the colony alliance on the black sphere and was announced to Planet Bob about a month after VE dropped WUT. Shortly afterward, GOONS forced VE to move OE (Obsidian Entente) out of the black sphere. OE ended up moving over to the Aqua sphere and changed its name to 'Oceanic Entente'. This project ended up being a major "cause" of the Green Civil War and the destruction of the Viridian Entente.

Not only was this alliance a big role in one of the cruelest/bloodiest alliance genocides in our history, but also is important as it marks only the 2nd time that a sanctioned alliance tried to make a colony alliance. (More recent cases of this is FOK-iFOK/WTF-WTF2)[/size]

Element, Black Defense Council, Legio X, and Obsidian merged to become the Dark Evolution (with several other alliances joining afterwards). Each one of these alliances had between 600k-1.5mil Nation Strength, giving Dark Evolution the #2 spot on the black team behind Sparta.

This marked the first time in history that 4 or more alliances above 500k joined together in an attempt to become a world superpower. It also marks one of the biggest failures alliance disappointments in 5+ years of Bob. The Dark Evolution only lasted 10 months on Bob. Besides being used as a body to throw at NEW during Karma, and pumping members into Athens, they contributed little-to-nothing to the world stage. They ceased to exist on July 1st, when they made the announcement that they were merging into Athens.

Pretty surprised that LUE beat out Vox for #1. I'd call Vox a better Order-antithesis.
That being said, good list. GGA raised my eyebrows too, but I can't deny they played a large role in their time here/

If your going to put LUE at #1, NAAC deserves to be alot higher then 7th, they were arguably the cornerstone of The League/Aegis even though LUE gets more recognition now-days.

They're undoubtedly so high up because of their involvement in the initiation of the Karma war, arguably one of those most revolutionary wars ever.

WTF 2 is only an outlet to stop WTF from being sanctioned. They don't want sanction, so they move active members to WTF 2.

NpO is a colony alliance. then we grew into our big boy pants and ran away from our mommy.

I hated US of Europe's avy, and for that they aren't on the list In all reality tho, I did forget about them. I still wouldn't have them in the top 25, but they get an honorable mention.

I think there are quite a few TAGA members that would be unhappy to see MDC considered a continuation of TAGA.

And, of course, VE never disbanded.
