The good ol' days.

I AM EPIC! I got a quote from Moo without the  smiley in the front of it! I win.

I'm adding that to the shelf that has the autographed Duff Beer can that I got from Tyga.

What a fun time to join the game. The nation I had then is dead, of course, to make room for this one. Not like it was very old anyway...

My nation from then is dead too, and the one after. Tygaland 3.0 is still kicking...

I wonder how many vets are still around from that long ago.

I posted our Declaration of Neutrality, not sure that counts as being a veteran of the war. I guess not ;)

Still, it was an awesome time for innocent bystanders :)

Damn, pointed it out before me :P

My nation was created just a month or two before the Great War. I was not in an alliance yet, however did attack some NPO nations during that time, mostly because an RL friend asked me to.

Heft (Heft) of the Red team, was attacked with a nuclear weapon on 7/16/2006 1:15:34 AM.

Well everyone else is doing it. My only regret from that war is letting Anthony nuke GKC instead of doing it myself. Anthony

Ah, I remember those days. Back when I thought NPO and GATO were the only two alliances in the game.

Tyga, GWI was a great fight. I thank you for starting it.

Indeed, cheers Tyga B)

You're welcome!

I was reminded today (thanks Unsure) that three years ago I fired a single nuke at Duffman than still resonates around the Cyberverse to this day.

A lot has happened since that time and it seems a lot longer than three years which is a little depressing, to be honest. I'm often asked about the incident, sometime by people just curious and other times by people seeking to demonise me for it. However, I'm not really interested in marking this occasion with the 1000th thread debating the pros and cons of GWI or who won and why.

I just thought a significant moment in the history of the Cyberverse should be remembered [ooc]and it gave me a chance to unveil my new sig pic (thanks Bzelger)[/ooc], so crack open a can of Duff, then put it aside and get a decent beer and reminisce about simpler times. Those of you not about then can just drink beer (the discarded Duff) and watch the old farts ramble on about the old times.

lol. The nuke heard round the world............good times.

Now whos going to get nuked today Tyga?

I missed out on getting insta-fire nukes.... *pouts*

Granted, I wasn't even around then, but....

I recall hearing that nukes weren't just insta-fire, that one could launch more than one in a single day at a single target. Those must have been *interesting* times.
