1. I can't believe there are still five or 6 sanctioned alliances that I have been part of. And two that sent me to zero infrastructure. Temp, not permanent, although since I figure I haven't logged in to my nation in five years, probably more. Man, i joined FAN to fight the NPO when FAN was sentenced to permanent zeroing. Good times. I doubt there are 5 people on here who remember me.
2. Unlike a lot of others I will try and stay at least a little on topic. Welcome to the family TFE. Happy to have you on side.
3. I am proud to serve with you nomnomnom nation killer. I want a call out thread too, but I never got anyone to delete. I still miss GOLD...is that enough? That was an alliance that was destroyed by NPO back in the day.
4.
Is OsRavan saying that because MK declared war on CoJ, that now they're defending MK from us? Man oh man am I glad I don't have to spin crap like that for elections.
I am pretty sure you are glad you don't have elections period. Unless the people who would be voting are fans of repetitive stale PR.
5. Another 400K Prince Edward Island soldiers dead and 2K infrastructure destroyed. Southpaw of Transnistria and Roughrider of Devildog got their licks in. Oh, and if visiting my fair nation I would not drink the glowing green water
6. Well here we go again, more Prince Edward Islanders marching off to war. Good luck to my allies and slightly less luck to my enemies. And a special shoutout to Southpaw of Transnistria who I think will put me over the 4 million casualty mark in his next attack...and who is also a very friendly opponent thus far.
7. No, but you didn't worsen my life, so you got that going for you
8. Everyone must diet. Orange Roll. Something like that
9.
I wouldn't point out a correlation with direct NS, as leaders get special focus in wars, and also tend to fight a lot. But there are other indicators, buying (or selling) tech with all their slots, keeping stable trades, growing their nation and building up their warchest at the fastest pace that wars will allow. I would however, hold it against an alliance leader when they at least don't put in a good effort to build their nation up and use it effectively, and who doesn't have a solid understanding of the dynamics of nation building and in-game growth. For one, a solid understanding of in-game dynamics can be important, especially when planning for wars. An alliance leader ignorant of his alliance's real standing in-game can make mistakes, overestimating or underestimating his alliance in comparison to others and not have his alliance assigned well in a war. They also won't be as good at effectively monitoring and appointing their economics and war ministers. They may initiate and/or approve unwise and inefficient nation-building, war preparation, or deployment strategies. They may do a poor job at the negotiating table at wars end getting the best terms for their alliance (or writing good terms for an opponent). Another thing is that an alliance leader who just "doesn't care" about his nation isn't being a good leader, in my opinion. Why should his members care about their nations if their leader doesn't? An alliance leader should lead by example, in that respect. If they don't that could contribute to a culture of laziness that will hurt the alliance. Alliance leaders tend to be some of the oldest nations and (if not rogued on a lot) have greater potential to have a large nation. Leaders can make a small difference with their nations alone. For example when I was in MK high gov (around noCB through Karma) all the gov were in the upper ranks, especially in tech, and made up a reasonable portion of those ranks.
I do agree with this, The onmly time I was overly concerned with nation building and doing it correctly, was way back in the mists of times when I led an alliance. Now I was never high enough profile to get much in the way of drive by nukings, so I did not have that issue to deal with...so I tried to lead by example and tech deal, have a solid trade circle...things like that.
10. Well really, if they did all that, then they do deserve the awards. Well done, MK you weren't nearly such an evil genius when I was there
11. W_A_R of Vijar and Count Rupert of the Duchy of Grand Fenwick are not big OWF posters, but both incredibly solid rulers who would be a huge boon to any alliance and who have always been very stand up in any relations I had with them. Mpol for keping FAN together deserves admiration Pingu would make my list Oh, and Vladimir Stukov II for quite a few reasons, not the least of which is having the good taste (or more likely long memory) to mention me.
12. Iron and Marble on black...go go go
13. I am orange with lumber and wheat I have my name in another one but it has stalled so if this fills first I am in.
14.
Seems we're all good for black then. Also guys, if you know someone who needs a circle with the available trades, then please get them to sign-up. How do you guys feel about changing Fish for Uranium? If you're O.K. with it, I have another guy.
I have nukes and have had to use them...so Uranium, is good for me. Can someone message me in game when this gets full too. I will then drop my trades and change colour Also, I am 14 days without collecting. Is it still 21 till cancelled?
15. I have lumber and wheat. I am on Orange, but will switch to any colour, I am running out of days. My last circle was over a year, so I am fine with long term
16. I have Lumber and Wheat for your wild card Looking for long term. Would prefer ORange, but at this point will change The only difference between wheat and fish is no lower land prices. My nation
17. What if you are allied to both sides?
18. Joined NPO back 1559 days ago, but that is all. Ignore my PM
19.
When I was here during wotc there seamed to be a juicy log dump every week. Now, not so much.
Eat mor fibre
20.
Good Sal As in any draft with a pool so deep I would happily trade down and not pay that high draft price and trade down for some extra picks from those quiet but effective leaders who never make the top picks list. I think we badly underestimate the talent of many alliances silent but dedicated leaders. I respect a larger number I have had the privilege to interact with with in the larger alliances and many in those smaller unknown alliance. I have to admit my list includes leaders of alliances who follow a path I would not choose but that makes them no less worthy. It is just hard to name them and look like I like them. Respectfully Dame Hime Themis
I would trade down and apparently still get one of your own. I would be hard pressed to find a better person for morale and loyalty than W-A-R of Vijar
21. Well, that was a whole lot of glowing green and fighting and dieing. I can't beleive I was in one of the last set of wars against Matt Miller and he still had 10K tech for his nukes. Those hurt like heck. Good fight and very friendly too all the people I fought both IRON and TOP
22. I was not on the boards for a couple of days, but scrolling back I don't see any April first DOW's. There were a lot last year. I think real war has made them a bit of a sensitive subject. There was the one from NONE, but that one was obviously a very poor attempt and fooled no one. I did not say I would attack randomly, just that if there was an April Fools DOW, then I would "BELIEVE" it and attrack in defense if you will. Oh, and I am not dead and gone, all though nukes from Matt Miller made me feel like it.
