  1. Favourite alliance war: Probably Karma War, even though TOOL lost. Heifong from Brigade was decent on the ground but his air force was horrendous :P So I consider my tenny little front a victory, since I was definitely the one doing more damage.

Least favourite: also WoTC, for OOC reasons. Also, it kinda sucked that the 5-alliance coalition blitz I was supposed to be leading was dashed by preemptive attacks.

Favourite war, period: if you look at my nation's war history page on the Wiki, none of those were more satisfying than attacking Analects for hitting CCC for the second time. I still don't trust jlepnica not to try it a third time, though.

    :(( Analects :((

  2. You did forget one type, though, and that's the "role-player." There are a few of those in CN. People who can either use their imagination so well that they can create something entirely new and somewhat entertaining to read/look at, or someone who can take the details of the RL counterparts of their nation and integrate them into their CN nation's story in great depth.

    That aside, I'd say I'm 90% social and 10% retired

    Enjoyable read. o/

  3. I've heard of the vast majority of those alliances. The ones I haven't heard of at least in passing:

    All for Yellow (9 members)

    Darkstar (14 members)

The Order of New World Domination (11 members)

    Fallen Knights (20 members)

League Of Imperial Nations (6 nations)

    The Indigo Plateau (16 members)

To be fair though, there are more AAs with fewer than 20 members than there are grains of sand on the beach, or so it would seem. Some are actually decent folks (AOD Brigade, DAAN, Blood Brothers) while others are total wingnuts who don't know what they are doing, and others still are alliances-of-one. Some alliances of one are actually respected, believe it or not (PPF). Others (Pax) need to be rolled. :P Yes, I have a history with that one.

  4. Shilo has a point - raiders only care about entertainment for themselves and their alliance-mates, even if they end up spoiling someone else's in the process. So trying to change that could indeed prove difficult.

Trust me, I've tried to get TOOL to outright abolish the practice, and our already stringent tech-raiding policies have caused members to leave. (Which begs the question, since they're required to read and agree to our policies beforehand, why'd they bother joining? :P) Most recently, we had a member leave after I threatened to kick him out for raiding an applicant and a protectorate, not to mention violating pretty much every other part of our policy. <_<

That said, I do admire your principles, Seipher Caim. :) I've always been of the belief that war should never be for personal gain, as I find acting thus to be both selfish and hurtful. I enjoyed the read.
