Gimme a holler every now and again. Especially if you join CCC.
-
Once this war is over, I'll make a point of visiting this museum
-
Of these three I'm probably closest to the "Honhur Club," but that ain't saying much. I'm not sure how the hell I'd categorise myself.
Oversimplification aside, I rather enjoyed reading this.
-
I agree with AJ and Lamuella here.
White peace does have its time and place, but so too do reasonable reparations. And I've yet to see anything but from this particular war thus far.
-
in this case, $150 million is seriously chump change and i do believe can be knocked out using only 50 aid slots not 60. 10 nations can easily handle this within one day without sweating.
Eight with slots full, plus one nation with two slots, if all they have DRAs. But yeah.
-
$150M is chump change for an entire alliance. Hell, NEO MONES did around that much damage on his own when he disobeyed orders during Karma War, and the only reason we ended up paying less is Sparta was kind enough to cancel what they owed us out against what we owed them. (And MONES himself still didn't pay a cent even after he was asked to chip in.)
I'd also have to agree with my FEAR ally's assessment of the situation. (o/ Canik)

Doesn't have to.
-
Not that particular song. What I have heard by Motorhead's pretty cool though.
-
Simple, it's the folks that walk into the head shrinks office and says "Doc, I think I have Asperger's," to which the physiologist replies "No, you're just an ***hole."
That's one I haven't heard before. And don't you mean "psychologist?" Also
-
What Damsky said, although I'm not sure what you mean by "Asperger's Syndrome rejects" As someone with that condition myself, that grabbed my attention.
As for the burning out part, I completely agree. Granted I did it to myself in a year, not two months.
-
Ever thought of getting published, Mia? Those are really good.
AJ's poem sounds like something you'd hear in rap music. Someone give the guy a beat! NAO!
-
Some of the best leaders I've met in this game are TOOLS.
ICWUTUDIDTHAR.
Was a good read, Xiph, and I find myself agreeing as well.

I should have made the part about Grub more of a suggestion than to say anyone should force it. I personally like Grub, I just can't agree with much of anything he has done since the decision to roll \m/. I can't wait to get to know and build a rapport with Penguin. He seems like a great guy and a man worthy of being called emperor.
No argument there on any point, although I'll be eternally biased towards KingRich and Darth Actorbass because of my time in CCC
-
I don't really agree with making anyone step down. That's not to say I agree with Grub's actions in this conflict - I don't at all - but as for forcing someone from office, that's a line I hope I'd never cross myself. That should be up to either the person in question or the alliance said person is in.
About C&G breaking up, that's kind of an "out of left field" statement from my vantage point, although I admit that due to work I haven't been around as much lately. C&G won't be on the out any time soon. Thinking back to WoTC, that war was a lot more likely to end them and they came out of it intact as a bloc, although sadly, TDSM8 went under. (I was on that side at the time, and trust me, I was gutted when it happened). In short, the bloc's proven to be far too resilient. I might not like them all, but if nothing else, I can respect them for this. (There are other things too of course )
I believe that TORN, IRON, and TOP should be required to pay some reps for the preemptive attack that they launched.Y'know, I'm probably the only person in my alliance who actually agrees with this.
Anyone else that entered on a legitimate treaty should be let off because they are only honoring the documents they signed. This would have more people agreeing, though.
Anyway, well-written, AirMe. I rather enjoyed it.

Get your drunk !@# over to Uralikan Yliopisto, NAO. Seriously, I'm bookmarking this.
Some interesting tidbits to point out:
Oh, and for the love of admin himself, please learn that a MDP isn't the lowest branch in the treaty tree to sign.I know of one alliance for whom it is actually the highest, since their charter disallows aggressive wars. But I agree. MDP+ should be signed with people you have a certain level of trust with.
I can also relate to the story in the section "Your Members," Lesson two, from my time as a military commander in both CCC and TOOL. Heck, there are times where people under my command have ended up doing better jobs than I did, in the same position.

Gimme 25 nukes and I'll have a ball with them.
Just don't quit after you're done. [/insidejoke]
-
It's fine as is, tbh. Of course, this is coming from someone who likes epic number-crunching and spreadsheets.
-
Going by the responses, I'd say "most destructive" depends on what you mean by destructive. As Noob Cake said, the dollar-value of damage is likely the highest it's ever been.
On the other hand, having read the Wiki on Great War III, it seems that back then, all but the most staunch neutrals were involved in that war, so the percentage of overall NS destroyed may easily have been higher.

Aethelwulf
At least he tried fighting unlike Damaskus, who bailed before we even went in
Keep it up, J.

ZOG!!
Welcome back, man!
-
Was gonna do something like this myself
Mia
EDIT: also, don't forget about Jelly Doughnut.
-
I believe most others simply suggest they don't let the door hit them on their way out, and lock the door after they're gone.
This is what TOOL does, although under certain circumstances (say they get beat within an inch of ZI and surrender) they may be considered for re-application. We actually had one instance of that during Karma War, and let him back in.
I forget if CCC even had a policy considering that when I was in the alliance, we never really had a problem with desertion.
In any case, ZI is a bit extreme for desertion by itself.
-
Last war, TOOL had a few people surrender. But most of them weren't even in anarchy. You can imagine how that made me feel.
-
They're easier to use and more in focus now, it's definitely a good addition. Adds a little something extra to the gameplay.
Agreed.
It's a good outlet for honest-to-God RP, but also good for discussions that might not necessarily fall under that category.

I prefer Halloween myself. I mean come on, last year I got to be the person I most look up to in this game
And don't ask me for any fresh April Fools' ideas. Best I could come up with would be the worst team in the lowest division of my soccer league beating the best team in the highest division. But nobody would know what the bleedin' blue blazes I was talking about.
I could play an April Fools' joke on TOOL/CCC, but everyone would see that one coming from a mile away. I'm too predictable
