Ohhhh look another update...

I am in the process of traveling until Feb 24th. So forgive me if a few of my opinions here seem uninformed.

I have learned a few things from reading the forums sporadically and popping in and out of IRC when I have time.

Someone peed in Methrage's cornflakes. My guess is Stumpy.

According Syzygy here: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=80555 it is ok for one of his friends to walk up to another one of his friends and blast them across the face with a 2x4 for no reason. He will also support said friend with 2x4.

For as many alliances that RON and TOP put on C&G you would think that C&G's stats would be falling more than they have.

1 in every 250 Alterego posts have a point. But the rest are just rubbish and people usually miss that one good point because of it. Alterego, I love you man, but use your head sometimes bud.

I don't blame Ivan for getting mad over propaganda because I have as well....but relax dude, that's why it's propaganda.

I believe that TORN, IRON, and TOP should be required to pay some reps for the preemptive attack that they launched. Anyone else that entered on a legitimate treaty should be let off because they are only honoring the documents they signed.

The only term that should be imposed on Polar should be that Grub should have to step down immediately. This whole situation can be tracked to bad decision after bad decision on his part.

Anyone who thinks that C&G will break up before the war ends is being silly. C&G is a brotherhood that this game has not seen since the early days of Polar and Pacifica. They have to be for putting up with Londo's shenanigans.

If everyone agreed on things, there wouldn't be much here to keep bringing us back. So enjoy the chaos, the game is pretty freaking exciting right now for those of you who are forum active. All I ask is that you use common sense.

That is all I have for now.

Good luck have fun, save some targets for me after the 24th.

I think Grub stepping down from Emperor of Polar is a given at this point, since he explicitly stated that his days as Emperor were numbered when he declared war on TOP.

I also agree with your assessment of reparations. Reparations from the initial attackers on CnG, white peace/reparation-free surrender elsewhere. Sounds good to me.

I don't think this war will be over for quite a while yet though.

I definitely agree with you on the reparations part of this. Grub is stepping down anyway, unless he changed his mind, but seeing how much he blatantly lied, he may stay on for a long time to come. Who knows with Grub.

As for the rest.. meh. I've yet to see anyone say cng will break up, so ... I don't know where that came from.

No one should have their leadership forcefully removed. Ever. That is an internal decision which no outside leader has the right to dictate. Please, no Hegemony traits need to exist.

Re: Terms for Polar - you're making the assumption that anyone is going to be in a position to dictate terms to us at the end of the war. Accepting this highly unlikely scenario to be true, I'm not sure where it's coming from that alliance leaders have to be forthcoming with people they don't really like (TOP, for example). This isn't a court of law and no one is under oath. You people in the competing power blocs need to just kill each other off and stay the hell out of Polar's business. Also if you think dictating internal Polar policy will work out well for you, I'll yet again remind everyone that while you're playing a weeks to months-long game of immediate reward, Polar is playing a years-long game and people have long memories there. There are still Polar people ticked off over CoaLUEtion demands we disband back in July of '06. Just a word to the wise, tread lightly there because the alliance you save may be your own. And yes, that's a threat I'll make it my mission in CN life to follow through on. If you don't think I can make it happen, read your history.

Not directed at AirMe in particular, more toward everyone in general. No alliance is indestructible and no power bloc is unassailable. You mini-mites all gathered together to form swarms of roaring mice will be easy, soft targets compared to the giants of the past. Keep your nose out of Polar's internal affairs or I will end you.

I don't really agree with making anyone step down. That's not to say I agree with Grub's actions in this conflict - I don't at all - but as for forcing someone from office, that's a line I hope I'd never cross myself. That should be up to either the person in question or the alliance said person is in.

About C&G breaking up, that's kind of an "out of left field" statement from my vantage point, although I admit that due to work I haven't been around as much lately. :P C&G won't be on the out any time soon. Thinking back to WoTC, that war was a lot more likely to end them and they came out of it intact as a bloc, although sadly, TDSM8 went under. (I was on that side at the time, and trust me, I was gutted when it happened). In short, the bloc's proven to be far too resilient. I might not like them all, but if nothing else, I can respect them for this. (There are other things too of course :P)

I believe that TORN, IRON, and TOP should be required to pay some reps for the preemptive attack that they launched.

Y'know, I'm probably the only person in my alliance who actually agrees with this.

Anyone else that entered on a legitimate treaty should be let off because they are only honoring the documents they signed.

This would have more people agreeing, though.

Anyway, well-written, AirMe. I rather enjoyed it. :)

I should have made the part about Grub more of a suggestion than to say anyone should force it. I personally like Grub, I just can't agree with much of anything he has done since the decision to roll \m/. I can't wait to get to know and build a rapport with Penguin. He seems like a great guy and a man worthy of being called emperor.

I'm still feeling mildly burned by the last recommendation you gave me.

No argument there on any point, although I'll be eternally biased towards KingRich and Darth Actorbass because of my time in CCC :P
