We have seen almost half the alliance we hold treaties with attacked for no legitimate reason tonight. We have seen an old friend and ally, Nemesis, countered by a vastly larger and superior fighting force. We have seen our friends in Polar fight a war for what they believe in - an honorable goal. But inevitably, we had to make a choice. We have too many friends on both sides of this conflict. As of tonight, at this time, the Imperial Assault Alliance recognizes a state of war with our unfortunately-placed friends in Genesis. It is a pity things had to come to this.
