So, allow me to retract my earlier statements about treaty issues. It seems that the legalities have caused the IAA to be forced to make this declaration of war. However, if this whole spying thing is true, I would hope IAA has an apology to make soon. None of my business, though, so I'll leave that up to you all. Good luck.

Treaties (as in plural, or with more alliances than just Nemesis)? I haven't looked into the IAA, but do you have these treaties with alliances on both sides of the conflict by chance?

If an alliance has the issue of "friends fighting friends", shouldn't that alliance take a neutral standpoint in the conflict? Just a thougt...

From what I understand (I'm still a newb, but I'm learning quickly), the IAA and Genesis have always considered themselves as close, and the IAA and Polaris are (or were) always allies. I understand that the IAA is "honoring" a treaty, but do they feel it is the right thing to do? I'm simply going to hope so considering they just made a huge move. Oh well, I'm just gonna wish all parties the best of luck on this one, so good luck.
