Just make the most senior member of any alliance the default admin of the alliance instead of causing months of butthurt and bawwing ( since we all know that the folks who did not check and are getting reset to none are getting raiding - unexpectedly and maliciously. you can smell the blood in the water ). Not only will it be a glorious raiding opportunity, it'll shake things up a bit as players either try to re-form their alliances or flock to more established ones. Plus, the inevitable political drama (herpaderp you raided my alliances protectorate when they weren't on the AA pay reps rawr) will be entertaining. Instead of the continued humdrum existence these alliances have, we'll get fun and chaos. It sounds like a fair trade to me. Also, tbh, anyone who quits CN over a raid is better off gone. Keep in mind all these individual players are not in charge of their alliances - they are counting on someone else to handle the administration - what would happen if your alliance admin never bothered to register in this thread and you did not know it. The game requires mass and that mass is gonna get greatly reduced. Like 10% in 20 days reduction. Face it, adding XP then opening up a massive raid opportunity is one way of saying get out to a great number of players, and they will. Logging in and facing bill lock for the first time in years when they thought they were protected by their alliance will be all players need to disappear.
