420jthm Posted September 29, 2011 Report Share Posted September 29, 2011 (edited) IMHO props for taking the high ground and not taking your allies down with you. in my personal opinion i wouldn't have minded an escalation but it would have just been a curb stomp on a larger scale and this whole war could have easily been avoided in the first place. to see a global conflict take place over one nations govt official not researching a tech raid is preposterous. Even if we parse this as defensive on UPNs part that doesnt change anything though, at least in regards to the treaty with Polaris. [/quote] Correct, but when you activate aggression you, in turn, call into action defensive (mostly non optional) pacts for NG. And Polar, UPN and anyone else in that tree went there once.
