Morphine Mate
Okay so I read the history of cybernations on the wiki, and I noticed there was a period during the GW 3 known as the "dark ages" where no record was kept... So I was wondering if any of you old CNers could enlighten me on what the bloody hell happened there.

Megamind
Read the records about the events of 'Dark Friday', which can be found here: http://cybernations.wikia.com/wiki/GW3#Dark_Friday That should clear it up.
Chief Stubbs
There was a period of time where no records were kept? That's because those of us in the Initiative were too busy being the most powerful force in Cyber Nations, and simultaneously slowly ripping ourselves apart. Crymson
Some very childish people did a very unnecessary thing. [OOC]: It did spare me from needing to check the game while I was in Florida for Passover, though![/OOC]

Sarmatian Empire
/b/ posted bad picture. Admin brought CN down to protect everything. Wars ended and stuff...not much too it, but looking into the past made me smile a bit
Caliph
The /b/ alliance decided to go out with a bang. OOC: Thats about as IC as I can explain it, /b/tards messed with the game bad.
Feuersturm
[OOC]They, /b/, used, if I recall correctly, pictures which would be illegal in many OOC countries. Since this is a legit question I feel justified in answering it out of character. This thread might want to be moved to the OOC area though, as it is almost impossible to discuss in character due to the OOC nature of the event. The game was brought to a standstill while the Admin and his team cleaned out the forums and let everyone cool down.[/OOC] Edited February 3, 2011 by Feuersturm

Rugby
The people of Rugby only hear of such things from their old and crazy founders who live in a cave. [OOC]I think the only possible good that came out of that event was that although the game and forums were down, a lot of members still came on IRC and our forums just to hang out and chat with each other - despite there being literally no reason to be there without our nations. It's a testament to the good communities Planet Bob can create, in contrast to the "bad" community who caused the Dark Day. I think Admin and the mods made the right decision. A few months later, one of those folks came back and sent a number of image-filled PMs to various people. I was 'fortunate' enough to get one of those. ImperialCubanacan
I was around then and honestly have no idea what this period of time had in it. But, with that said, likely it was some sort of NPO + Initiative drama.
