Kevlar
I admire Kevlar, the Sasquatch. Edit: That actually started as a joke, but it's true. I've always thought Kevlar was among the most intelligent, driven people in CN, despite all his appearances and despite the fact that the only job I ever gave him while he was my deputy, he failed to do. Incidentally, that job probably could have turned out to be useful in the week following, when GWII broke out. Good job, Kev.
Kevlar changed my life. -Kev

King Louis the II
Alexandros o Megas. He is the top #18 player, #4 in tech. All of this having a nation 1 year younger than all Top 30 nations. In addition of other names from my alliance such as Tulak, Hyperion and Wilhem I could also cite players that made CN history such as Archon, Londo, Moldavi and Liquid Mercury. ADDED: How could I forget..... VAN HOO!!!!! Edited August 31, 2010 by King Louis the II
Ardus
To pick a name not also covered by those whom I've taken lessons from: Vladimir. His propaganda is of a quality rarely attempted and almost never equaled in its fluid prose and dedication to the IC dynamic. Rarely do I find myself in agreement with much of anything he says, but there is nonetheless a tremendous quality to it.

President Obama
Lord Sharpe helped me out a lot when I first got into the game and he was a pretty cool guy and he vouched me into Gremlins. Bob Janova, Enderland, Egwaterboy and Ejay as well. People I respect(and yes I know it's admire and not respect but I don't really admire people in an internet game) in TOP are probably too many to name them all but I'll give a shoutout to Dr Dan, who was my favorite GM in the relatively short time I've been here and I gained a lot of respect for him and the moves that he made. edit: Oh and KGB!
