Far from the battle field, far from war,
We’ve got to look for an open door,
All of us working, All of us searching for peace,

We dream of a time when we all are one,
Dreaming to hope under earth bright sun,
So let’s get together, things will be better if we try,
Hear our cry,

Someday the pain of war will be healed,
Someday when we can feed what we feel,
Let the wall come down,
Tumble to the ground,
And love will have peace all around.

So let’s raise our voice so they all can hear,
over the wall, they will bay a cheer
All of us clinging all of us are singing the cry,
We will cry,

Someday the pain of war will be healed,
Someday when we can feed what we feel,
Let the wall come down,
Tumble to the ground,
And love will have peace all around.
Let the wall come down,
Tumble to the ground,
And love will have peace all around.

Interesting.

If you don't mind me asking, why?

There wasn't any real particular reason. It simply wasn't working out. We all realized this and mutually decided it would be best to dissolve the treaty. It just wasn't meant to be, but we are all still on good terms.

I think it was the irony of having an AA called NATO in the Iron Curtain that finally did it in.

:lol1: This was one of my thoughts as well.

This is a move by NATO I can stand behind. I liked many of the members separately but together, not so much.

While I'm not privy to their inner workings; Blocs work in such a way that everyone in said bloc has to be fully committed to the Bloc, and in a sense put the Bloc above the rest. When NATO declared neutrality in the NEW-DF war, albeit the correct course of action, and FEAR declared war in defense of their ally, a weakness was exposed in the bloc. Not only ideological but commitment wise - "If TFD gets hit, we go in" (NATO) or something along those lines. That showed that TFD > IC for NATO, and thus making the bloc irrelevant tbh.

So yeah, anyone with a brain saw this coming. A disunited Bloc is no Bloc at all. Trust me, I've been part of blocs that have crumbled: Agora, 1V, Continuum, TRC. Time and time again it was because of overall disunity.

Am I close?
