The popularist definition came about due to the fact that most rumor and gossip type publications were sent in this format due to their inherent cheapness to produce. So are you, my good sir, calling the Tabloid Tribune a cheaply produced sensationalist piece more fitting to be shoved in the back stalls of street vendors?
