State of the Alliance

This week has seen our membership dip below 200 members as the recruitment freeze continues to impact our membership numbers. However, our total nation strength and average nation strength continues to increase. Total nation strength approaches 4.5 million and our average nation strength has surges past 22000.

In domestic news a number of awards have been presented this week. The Siberian Tiger Alliance award for Valour was presented to Evil Blah, Grand General Hiashi, Kingzog, Esma Everheart and TartanJamie for their assistance in dealing with rogues. Members that step up and put their nation on the line to assist their fellow tigers in dealing with rogue attacks are held in the highest stead in the alliance and these five members are to be thanked for their efforts and congratulated on their awards.

The other award presented this week was the Tiger of the Month Award for September. The winner was Arwen in recognition of here selfless dedication to the Siberian Tiger Alliance by way of assisting us in dealing with rogue attacks on our members. Arwen was our “go to” member for dealing with rogues as her nation was well prepared and she was adept at warring at the lower strength levels. Time and again she stunted her nation’s growth or built up to get into range of a rogue and her efforts were of invaluable assistance to the STA. Thanks, Arwen, for your efforts and congratulations on your well-deserved award.

The Siberian Trophy rages on with the usual suspects rising to the top of the table in the top division. Batch moved into first place on the back of a 5-0 demolition of Proxian FC with Condatis Town FC in second place on goal difference and Bamburgh FC and FC Tigris Altaica lurking a point further back. At the foot of the table Zavod Ural Solikamsk’s horror start to the season continued with a loss to FC Polar Samurai leaving them winless and second from bottom. Newly promoted Team Waycool remains in last place without a win and with a terrible goal difference.

In the Cup Division, FC Lviv and Lokomotiva 1902 remain undefeated at the top of the table after solid home wins during the week. Mushroom Kommune’s youth team has rebounded from their first up loss to record two wins and move into third place. At the other end of the table, The Tainers remain winless in last place with Capo Salmon filling the other relegation place with only a draw to their name.

In the Plate Division Striking Tigers FC remain the only team with a perfect record and top the table two points clear of the only other unbeaten side, Eagles. AFC Poyplonia, Frykinngytende and Kelton are a point further back. Shamrocks and FC Shadow are winless at the bottom of the table.

In the Tiger Trophy knockout cup the top division teams managed to get through their first round clashes with only Togashire FC stumbling to a first round loss against VA Rep National Team. The second round of the Tiger Trophy kicks off tonight with the quirks of the draw seeing Siberian Trophy powerhouses Batch and Bamburgh FC facing each other in the second round meaning one of the favourites to win the knockout competition will exit in the second round.

In military news, it has again been a week of rogue attacks with most of the rogues electing to fight on until they realise they will be outnumbered and then decide to sue for peace. It never ceases to amaze how these rogue nations think they can take on an aligned nation and then complain when that nation’s alliance steps in to assist their member. Every time we offer the rogue an out by way of peace and reparations. Once this offer is refused then we will deal with the rogue militarily for a week of war. Message to rogues, if you don’t want to be stomped for a week don’t attack aligned nations. If you attack an aligned nation then I suggest you accept a deal involving peace and the payment of reparations as the damage done to you nation by a week of war is much more than the reps you were asked to pay to get peace.

Diplomatically, the Siberian Tiger Alliance has been quiet. Our friends and allies in the Liquor Cabinet have disbanded their alliance after their leader went inactive and we wish the former members of the Liquor Cabinet all the best in their new alliance. The Siberian Tiger Alliance is saddened by the demise of the Liquor Cabinet as they were excellent allies for the duration of their existence.

Overall, this week has been again one of internal growth and development. The recruitment freeze remains in place as we assess our admissions process and focus on strengthening those already in the alliance. We have had a busy week dealing with rogue attacks on our members and the Siberian Guard and our members have dealt with the issues quickly and effectively. We look forward to pushing on towards 5 million total nation strength and to increasing our average nation strength to 25000 over the coming weeks.

The promotion chase is on! B)

Great read as ever Tyga, do you have set parameters for your recruitment freezes? Or do you just do it as and when you feel it's most beneficial?

We have parameters but sometime they are more flexible than others depending on how things pan out. We have retained members fairly well so we are happy to leave the recruitment freeze in place to lift our average NS and focus on the growth of current members.
