  1. What on the earth could a spy find these days even if they did infiltrate a forum.

It would take months, if not years to get the level of forum clearance needed to gain any usable information beyond receiving orders and the usual spam/social boards.

So infiltrating a spy into an alliance is not a viable option. I do not believe that VE's forum security is so lax that new recruits get to see sensitive info like war plans and readiness levels until they have proven themselves to be trustworthy.

not sure why you are posting that considering my whole point was to contest Bob stating Dajobo ordered Lennox to spy on VE. the length of time it would require to actually gain anything useful is irrelevant to what i am speaking of.

  2. You are playing semantics. He told Lennox that he should spy on VE or MK. He then proceeded to discuss details of the operation (helping him choose his nation name). I didn't use the word 'order' anyway.

actually it is you and others who are playing semantics. reread the line and again tell me where he definitively told Lennox to do anything? you can't. you are playing semantics in trying to even suggest Dajobo ordered (a direct command, which was never given by Dajobo).

20:36 Dajobo|NpO| VE or MK are the two who are heavily involved in world politics

20:36 Dajobo|NpO| anything that happens will come through them first

20:39 Chancy I will consider spying on VE

where in there is an order (mind you this part is bolded by VE in the DOW. if Dajobo ordered Lennox to spy on VE, then why is Lennox stating "I will consider spying on VE" which means he has a choice in the matter. If Lennox has a choice, then you cannot even attempt to suggest that Dajobo ordered anything, otherwise Lennox would not have a choice in the matter.

so again, VE is pretty much lying by stating that Dajobo ordered this whole thing. and Bob- you are the one playing with semantics here and you know it.

  3. read the first few sentences and realized one major weakness in your argument. Nowhere did Dajobo order Lennox to spy on VE. he suggested{/i] 2 alliances, but honestly, VE cannot claim an order was ever made. there was nothing definitive at all about Dajobo's statement about VE. to claim there is is simply ridiculous and one of the huge flaws in your argument.

gotta run for now, but considering the first paragraph at least has one major flaw in it, i am sure the rest of the piece will also contain all the other flaws in the VE argument.

  4. with the way she is stretched out, it would push the ribcages out and even if she was thick, they would be visible some. Olivia Wilde is hawt as hell.

though i do agree with Rugby, no matter what your wife says about her weight, the best answer is always "but baby, you are absolutely gorgeous".

  5. You told TOP to attack your then-ally, the Mushroom Kingdom. How are your relations with MK doing nowadays?

Given my past dealings with iFOK, I'd see a very strong possibility of them lying through their teeth. Don't know Poison Clan well enough to say either way.

i thought TOP went to Polaris wanting to hit CnG not Polaris going to TOP to tell them to hit CnG. to my knowledge, Polaris never told anyone to attack MK.

  6. This. If any of you calling them out on this have your own non-chaining MDoAPs then you're a hypocrite. The entire !@#$@#$ idea of an MDoAP is that you're saying "I like you, but I won't die for you if you're the one in the wrong." If PC or iFOK intended to support NEW in a situation like this they would have made the aggression clause mandatory.

heh. i always thought it was "Hey, we will mutually defend one another but if you want to declare an offensive war, this lets me jump in on that offensive war if i want but i don't have to". not "zomg you declare offensive war, forget defending you, you be on your own" as ya'll keep stating.

  7. Two things:

One: NEW themselves don't consider themselves "thrown under the bus" by PC and iFOK, unlike how TOP feels about NpO, and on that note, anyone involved with the negotiations before the war will tell you that NEW threw themselves under the bus.

Two: You are Dochartaigh, therefore your opinion is invalid.

    1) look at NEW's comments to WFF and to FEAR. as for TOP- who honestly cares? that would be like GOONS throwing CoJ under the table. it would hardly be unexpected at all and no one would even come close to considering ya'll allies and friends. TOP can feel however they want but there was no friendship between Polaris nor TOP. there was between MK and Polaris though.

    2) nice ad hominem.

  8. Loving the implication that because you weren't friends with TOP that magically makes it okay to screw somebody over like that.

and yet it is perfectly okay for PC and iFOK to let their ally burn... i don't get it. truly this is a masterpiece of hypocrisy. it is not alright for Polaris to throw one of their longest enemies under the bus to protect an actual friend and ally but it is okay for PC to throw a long time ally and friend under the bus and for iFOK to throw an ally and friend under the bus...

seriously, you guys need far better material. it is getting quite ridiculous with the amount of hypocrisy and double standards going on.

  9. What I'm pointing out to you is, your alliance is as opportunistic as they come, you've thrown alliances to the wolves to save your hides time and time again (most recently with TOP), so for you or anyone else in NpO to spout off about another alliance's business the way you are, is about as hypocritical as you can get.

If we were talking about leadership lying to an entire coalition and then trying to pretend like it didn't happen, then you, as a member of NpO, could talk all day about it. I'm sure you can even get almightygrub to be a guest lecturer on how to completely $%&@ over your friends and allies while all the while pretending that you're righteous and true.

honestly all the fools out there trying to use the actions of Polaris in regards to TOP during the Bi-Polar war as an example of Polaris throwing friends and allies under a bus is simply ridiculous. there was absolutely no friendship let alone anything that could remotely be called a treaty between TOP and Polaris. What i find amusing is all those using that example forget how Polaris hit TOP and absorbed a lot of damage for their ally and friend MK. ya'll focus only on half of the situation forgetting that Polaris took not only a lot of NS damage but a huge PR hit in order to help out MK. if that ain't being dedicated to a friend, i don't know what is. Polaris has $%&@ed up in the past, just as every single other alliance out there has. at least figure out the true examples of what you are trying to state. otherwise it is just useless.

  10. His slots are full from techdeals; I checked 4 hours ago. Darned game mechanics making me a faux. :smug:

Also: Interalliance Politics 101: Treaties enable. If you're actually pissed, you should lobby for a treaty cancellation. 3,000,000 to RED doesn't teach Athens anything.

well, out of most on this blog, you are one of the few i don't consider faux. if you want to teach Athens something, the only way to do it would be to attack Londo or something along that lines. otherwise, you aren't going to teach Athens anything.

the only one's who have a shot at teaching Athens anything would be Athens themselves or their allies. same with \m/.

  11. honestly, if ya'll have such issues with it, how about aiding RED nations who are fighting Cat Land.

yeah i don't like the fact that Londo aided a rogue as it makes Athens look bad and as an ally of Athens, it upsets me that he did this. but guess what, the only thing it did was make me wish that i had a couple of slots open so i could send aid to RED nations fighting Cat land.

and ya'll seriously wonder why most of ya'll are considered faux moralists. most of ya'll just sit there and whine about it instead of doing something proactive about the situation. sheesh.

  12. I'm glad you agree (if sorry that this means we can't spit further polemics at one another over the matter).

As regards the Moldavi Doctrine, it was not a document that spoke to international rights, and so cannot be juxtaposed to my article. By international rights we mean a truly global phenomenon -- a universal and inescapable law that weighs heavy on the mind of every individual. The Doctrine, on the other hand, merely codified de facto Pacifican sovereignty over the red sphere; the practical effect of which was an economic boost for small alliances as they were paid to move elsewhere.

The important line here in this matter is the following: "The hegemonic bloc would need to claim sovereignty over the world, forcing all nations, alliances and blocs under its domain; thus completely destroying their sovereignty."

so, if an alliance from any other color sphere were to have mass raided the red sphere would it still not be a global incident? what about an established alliance moving to the red sphere?

sorry, but when you dictate something as you did with the Moldavi Doctrine, just because the subject is relatively small, the impact is still global.

  13. I think you're referring to Chill/TOP's ridiculous deal that you could walk out of karma after two weeks of beating on Rok without consequences, which Fark (probably among others) objected to.

EDIT: Good to know that you thought your DoW's in the past were mostly jokes (real funny curbstomps, huh?) and that you'd gladly do the same again if you had the opportunity (shame the community doesn't let you, isn't it?).

you keep stretching sometimes don't you? he never said that the curbstomps were funny. he said that IRON's attempts at the written DoW were jokes. there is a difference. we have seen joke style DoWs before for wars.

he also stated that should it be necessary he feels IRON would do a preemptive strike again but not anytime soon. you really need to read what is actually written instead of just trying to twist it around to be what you want it to be.

Did you notice Arcturus's complaining about WoTC when he was in RoK? Me neither.

Come on guys Rok aint bad remember? they never participated in a curbstomp after WoTC.... they never gave terms like vicer.... hey, they are allied to CnG now guys, their past is wiped clean. NPO and the former heg... well we all know ya'll can't escape the past. there was no war that wiped your pasts clean.

  14. i have a similar intersection close to where i live. Once while to the store, i had to turn left. now this intersection is probably busier than yours and the turn lanes do not have actual arrow signals. so i am waiting to turn left, when the last car going straight passes, i begin my turn just to be damn near hit by a car that had decided that it no longer wanted to turn and instead decided to go straight (mind you this car still had its turn signal on). This car was the first car in line to turn, as was i. thus, there was absolutely no way this car could not have known i was turning. luckily, i tend to speed a bit at that light and the car missed my rear end by around a foot to a foot and a half. also luckily a cop was the two cars behind me waiting to turn and saw it all.

the next story i have is me walking across that street to go to the gas station to pick up smokes. i had the walk signal and started walking as cars started driving parallel to me. it was around a slow time of day, with the sun out and bright. i was crossing the street on the right side and thus the cars going straight were next to me. there were 5 cars going straight and only 2 cars at the stoplight both in the same lane. A car came out of a parking lot around 100 feet from the light and instead of stopping at the red light and despite the fact that there were around 2-3 cars in his way, decided to go straight all the way until he slammed on his brakes and came within only a couple of inches of hitting a car. luckily for me, there were cars in the way as i honestly wonder to this day, if the car would have stopped if it was just me blocking his way.

  15. sorry Style, i kinda skipped being in ODN first. :P

also, i agree with the sentiment that those who would join IRON or DAWN if they were quitting, can still join now. does anyone honestly think that you will be ZIed, PZIed, or EZIed for this action? Gremlins is incapable of such actions and i highly doubt any other alliance would be willing to stake their reputation to attempt such actions. thus, it is basically risk-free if you truly want to help and do not care all that much about your infra or NS.

  16. there is no definitive definition to any of those. Many definitions exist for any alliance you speak about. Each one will be a mix of bias, truth, history, revisionism, and the like. thus, why CnG felt ODN changed while others did not or still do not would of course vary according to who you talked to. Why Valhalla has or has not changed while Sparta or MHA have? who knows. it will not only typically vary from alliance to alliance but also from person to person.

  17. Wrong. They declared with TOP, and TOP said their intention was to bloody CnG AND SF.

Edit: Ohhhh I can't wait until I go rogue, Haflinger :)

    http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=79441 (TOP's DoW)

    http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=79442 (IRON's/DAWN's DoW)

nuff said. nothing about SF in either DoW and those IRC logs were from TOP only mentioned CnG and not SF. nice try to rewrite history to get SF included in either one of those. TOP=/=IRON just so you know. much like CnG, despite having a MADP, states that if a CnG member DoWs another alliance, they do not have to get involved.

  18. Gremlins attacked IRON in defense of MK (an alliance which IRON hit without a treaty to do so either so don't start that). R&R was on the other side of the war. IRON knew this when they purposely sided against R&R and her allies. It's not R&R's fault that IRON joined the side aiming to destroy or bloody R&R and CnG.

You know as well as anyone else that sometimes alliances have to choose between sides. R&R chose the side their bloc and friends were in. IRON joined the side opposite of that. R&R doesn't have to bail IRON out because their side lost.

    Now please, go away Invicta.

Let me illustrate this in a different way for you so that maybe you understand, Haflinger.

*IRON declares their intent to help bloody/destroy SF (R&R), ignoring their treaty with R&R to go a treaty-less route against them

    *IRON loses

*IRON wants R&R's help achieving nicer peace terms than they're currently getting.

And quite frankly, it's not our fault that your side abandoned one on the field. Stop trying to throw the blame for your cowardy actions onto us.

And IRON attacked the SF side instead of what they were obligated to do (defend it). So why should R&R bail them out when their "friends" left them on the battlefield?

IRON declared against CnG not SF. thus, you whole "IRON declares their intent to help bloody/destroy SF (R&R)" bit is utter bs. in fact, IRON should have declared on FARK who is in SF but did not.

  19. Signing treaties entirely based on friendship with no basis in FA benefits is just as foolish as the opposite.

I think what Mike meant is that he likes TFD but dislikes their allies.

i would have to agree with this and that is sad. while i know that realpolitick has a place in this world, it should not outweigh true friendships. shoot, the fact is their are alliances on all sides led by jerks and fools, not just the side AUT is discussing. yet we see those alliances led by jerks and fools on the opposite side not treated in the same way. we see "they are our friends and always have been" paraded around just as we do from AUT's side.

this comment though tends to be spouted by those in power (was done during the Old Heg time as well) as a way to try and split the other side as well as to get alliances on the opposite side to sign treaties with those in power or allied to those in power to ensure that once war comes, some alliances would be split due to treaties.

  20. Yep! Amazing, I know.

    Good, that makes us even.

I realise that nothing I can say will actually make people exercise a bit of self-awareness in their posting but hey, being able to let off steam like this is one of the few things that keeps me sane (and unbanned, probably).

so you are saying you get that worked up in RL over this? really? wow.
