Seriously is this what's really attractive? I guess when you flip through these stupid magazines every page you turn you feel uglier and fatter until you forget how beautiful you really are.

I wouldn't get all bent out of shape about it all the time. One of my roommates is very skinny and has gone to various nutritionists and doctors for years to try to gain weight with only small successes. I know it causes her quite a bit of pain and anguish to have people throw the term anorexic at her at every turn. Let's also not forget that the photographer posed this girl in such a way to make her look skinnier and smaller than she actually is (see the weird way she is curved and stretched out, for instance).

Basically, we all can agree eating disorders are a bad thing, but I also think people are really not understanding the situation if they believe its entirely media-based or that all skinny people have eating disorders. Eating disorders are often the result of mental disorders and conditions, and it really should be treated as such. I would prefer if magazines didn't promote it as much as they do, but I really can't blame them for influencing people with problems or assume every naturally skinny girl has an eating problem.

edit: I kind of rambled on here, but I guess what I really meant to say was that images like this are only but one part of the problem. There are a lot of factors to something like this, and even just assuming this girl is anorexic because she's famous and in a magazine could be short-sighted.

Do straight guys really like to see ribcages, though? Yeah seeing her bones sticking out is so sexy. I tend to think the need-to-be-thin vibe comes more from other women than men, who probably should have learnt by now not to suggest their girlfriends/wives/etc need to lose weight.

with the way she is stretched out, it would push the ribcages out and even if she was thick, they would be visible some. Olivia Wilde is hawt as hell.

though i do agree with Rugby, no matter what your wife says about her weight, the best answer is always "but baby, you are absolutely gorgeous".

I'm not sure why so many guys think Keira Knightly is so hot. I don't think she's ugly, but she really needs a few Big Macs. Most of the guys I know like girls with curves. Even I find that more attractive (see Sofia Vergara).

Personally, I've always liked petite women.

I thought this was going to be about the band :(

I saw them in concert right after Bandages came out. It was them, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Fischerspooner, and Iggy Pop was the closer. Around 02-03 I'd say.
