Preamble: Light cannot exist without casting shadow. The darkness and severity of shadow cannot be made apparent without blinding light. Like two sides of the proverbial coin we were meant to compliment each other. We, House Baratheon and The Dark Templar enter this pact in honor and good faith. We do not stand hand in hand, but back to back with weapons drawn against the terrors that lurk beyond. Article I: Non-Aggression We pledge to never draw blades against one another, neither psionic nor steel. May there always be peace between us, and our disagreements short and moderated. Article II: Defense Though the Lord of Light and Shadow protects us, he works through us, not outside of ourselves. As such, should one fall under attack the other shall raise their banners immediately and rush to their aid. This obligation does not extend to campaigns in foreign lands, though there is honor to be earned there as well. Entaro Adun. Article III: Aggression In the event that offensive actions are required we are ready to drop the warhammer and dispense some indiscriminant justice. Article IV: Intelligence Should the omens in the flames or the silent glimpses of Observers reveal information pertinent to the security or well-being of either signatory, they shall be made known to both. Article V: Cancellation There will be no leaving this world or pact without proper notification and copious notes with which to finish the story. Should either alliance wish to cancel this Song of Shadow and Light, they must give the other signatory a seventy-two (72) hour notification period, during which this pact remains active.
