We recognize that PIATs do serve a symbolic purpose, but we believe that in some instances, they numb the signing parties to what really needs to be done.

I've heard that eternal treaties do the same thing.

A wiki edit done by one of their gov members says otherwise, unless you cancelled on them first.

Yeah, that would be exactly what I meant.

Interesting. Did you contact your now former PIAT partners before the announcement or is this their notice?

Good luck with the new policy.
My guess is that they already knew, based on the first line of announcement:
Over the course of the last few days, MHA informed all of its PIAT partners of our intention to cancel all PIATs and discontinue the practice of entering into PIAT agreements.
They contacted people in advance. Actually one might even say they went overboard in giving notice :v:

Actually, this is not the case.

If breaking treaties is happening at all treaty levels for them at least they are being consistent in that regard. :P

Ahhh one can notice that MHA is the topdog in CN now, all these haters jumping this announcement. -_-
I doubt peoples' hate for MHA stems from them being "top dog".

It stems from them being allied to someone you guys personally dislike.
Which all boils down to Gra and MHA being the top dogs. They know they can't muster enough support to take them down right away so they try to win the PR battle first. It is awful to see, and pretty tiresome.
