Executive Minister
Yes, by being forced to follow 'history' you must follow everything... that was the point I was making. You cannot be selective, otherwise Tahsir's nation, Dranagg would still be in existence today, for an example.
Captain Enema
In the past I've argued for continuity. However, these days I'm getting old and senile. I can barely remember where I put my heart medication let alone give a rip about who does what in Lower Crapinyourpantsastan. My suggestion, my very earnest suggestion, is to RP a story that you find pleasing. RP used to be an escape from reality. I see no real reason to make it too realistic. Allow people to write what pleases them so long as they aren't going too overboard. If they want to rp a fresh new slate in a country with no natives.. That's their business.. even if I find it obnoxious and irritating.. it is still their business.. Let's let people have fun with RP. That is what keeps the kids coming to your yard for the shakes. Or is that due to all the cheap chinese booze I've been drinking? Shakes.. hehehe you get it? heheh.. bleh.. anyway. Kankou
That is true, and it is bad RP. Entire populations don't just pick up and move, not without someone to force them out, and there is the issue of where they go to. Magic wiping them does also seems like a form of godmoding, albeit it has been tolerated in the past. It seems like a way to do something highly controversial, such as ethnically cleanse an area, without any form of legitimate IC recourse to local nations. I've always personally been one to say that people should be at least try to be realistic and stick to continuity. I would say that unless the person controlling the territory provides a better explanation for why they moved, and where they went, that RPers can assume that the population is still present. People don't just voluntarily leave a full metropolitan area because some wealthy foreign nation wants to auction off the territory to the highest bidder.
As the current owner of the island, I challenge this decision. http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=88979&view=findpost&p=2372662 The last owner of the island state there were a few tens of thousands. This is an easily movable population when one considers how small Tessa's nation is right now. So, if Tessa said a few tens of thousands moved, they moved. Another fact I wish to argue is how now we're forcing players to RP what happened in the past. I myself am a follower of continuity, and will continue as such. However, with several instances of massive changes in population that has happened without batting an eyelash (like my northern neighbor who hasa 20% Finnish population, something that would never have been accepted by neighboring countries), I find this sudden change in direction to be quite biased. So, under the reasoning that the previous owner had already depopulated Singapore to the point of tens of thousands, not millions as many non-owners wish to argue, and the reasoning that we cannot now selectively forces others to RP previous history after all the things that has happened, I challenge the ruling.
See the singapore situation as a whole, kankou, Szent, Girltopia and the rest. The whole swapping of land in that area should be retconned for the pure idiocy of all the complete lack of RP involved, but thats just my two cents.
Don't blame me. As for bias, it would be more inconsistency than bias, I don't have anything against anyone involved and I don't care either way if the islands are auctioned off or handed over to someone else. OOC I don't care if you want to repopulate it with Mexicans, or people from west Africa, all I'm asking is that there should be some actual RP of this process taking place. Not 'loltheyallmoved'. Zoot Zoot
No you dont. However, dont use biological ones, chemical works much better. more to the point fizzy, do the math BEFORE you shoot them, every nation those missiles fly over, can shoot them. IG missile defences dictates 10% will be shot down, and as they stack p to five, over the first nation, 50% of your missiles can be blasted, and then the nextnation can blast 50 of whats left. In reality your only looking at less than five warheads hitting your target.

To this date, no clear rule has been stated over IG CM's being affected by IG Missile Defences... and especially when they're flying over territories and the like. Currently, they fall under common sensical guidelines.
Zoot Zoot
Cruise missiles wont go from fizzys location to china. he would need to use an ICBM modified for the deployment of chemical or Biological warfare and those are the rules i got told when i was shooting them off at pravus. Fizzydog
Okay, I am going to fly an unmarked transport ship to USC. I obviously need to fly over Cochin, but none the less I have to ask: would this require spy rolls? The plane plans on crashing into a civilian center with the missile in the back which will detonate inside the plane. I'm fighting dirty, I know. Sargun II
Unmarked planes can be traced, it's unstealthy and in order for you to cross over territories you'll be alerting multiple military commands, not to mention air defenses. I'd say you need far more than a spy roll.
Zoot Zoot
Fizzy, no spyrolls. but it would just be easier to launch an ICBM spam. or use spy rolls to use letter bombs contaminated with biological weaponry
