"So <insert incorrect interpretation of a statement that was never even implied>? Gotcha."

I am so tired of seeing this same moronic formulation used, regardless of whichever side uses it.

You're just so much smarter than the rest of us, it seems like we're playing dumb when we're being genuine.

You state that a DBDC surrender is not believable unless you're in intellectual disability territory, and the only way to get a "sensible negotiation" with DBDC is for us to surrender and give up our action against the tech farms supporting them. Okay.

However, we have let DBDC raid us in the past without resorting to this step in the past and, guess what, they've kept on hitting us.

The only option left is some kind of Polar surrender in which DBDC agrees to leave us alone, despite having the ability to smash any of us in the top  270 (or so) at a time of their choosing. Only there's no reason to trust them, and there's no incentive for them to restrain themselves, since we'll have caved in already once the going go tough.

So help me see how we can avoid indefinite war with DBDC without completing caving in to them.

Dear zoskia you seem to be in a bad mood, so let me tell you the fairy tale, that will hopefully cheer you up.

Once upon a time there was a big forest inhabited by a bunch of knights and bandits (well, actually they were all bandits but most of them wouldn't admit that). They were living in a harmony, kindly slaughtering each other from time to time. It has lasted for a long time, until a big bad bird came into the forest. It was truly a monstrosity...though not nearly as big as it's today, more like a size of a small cottage.

So...a bunch of brave knights banded together and embarked on a quest to slay the evil creature. Alas, it has failed, as they didn't manage to gather enough followers. Out of fear they also didn't wanted to commit fully on their own. Quite understandable, as even victorious they would be weakened from the wounds and thus became a pray for the rest of the forest bandits. That was the time when mighty Polaris warrior was resting in their fortified hideouts, not giving a poop.

It was also a time when the world was amazed with the teeth and claws of the bad bird. And the wise-men were gathering at the sacred place to consult the forest oracle about the sorcery that was causing bird's bites to tear the very fabric of the universe. But the oracle remained silent. Also mighty Polaris warrior was resting in their fortified hideouts, still not giving a poop.

And then something amazing happened: the bird has spoken. It turned out it was ferocious, true, but not evil. It made some friends and found it's place in the forest and was peacefully growing, praying on lost mushroom collectors, little red riding hoods and livestock pasturing peasants. And it was all good...until it bit Polaris warrior's ass. And the warrior gave out a mighty roar as his surprise was immense. And they have run like hell to see the oracle and ask about the twisted, evil magic of bird's bite that was tearing the very fabric of the universe. But the oracle remained silent. They've shouted through the forest, but the forest remained silent. And the bird? Bird was living happily ever after.

THE END.

So zoskia, cheer up, don't be mad and be thankful to your leaders. They've helped to shape the world as we see it today...

What Really Happened:

The Hubris of the God King grew exceedingly great, and he turned his attention towards the conquest of the civilized world. But Bold Dajobo and about 300 Polars and allies made a stand at the narrow corridor of the low tier, where numbers count for nothing.

The God King grew enraged as the Polar's shrugged off wave after wave of the God King's slaves, who were driven by fear of his raids against their top tier. Whereas the God King's troops were simply cannon fodder aside from a few of the Lulzist elite in Doom Squad and the Traitor Order, Polaris and her civilized allies were fighting for their existence as a culture and as a united people and against a renewed Lulzist tide.

I predict they will present truly laughable terms, as if we are back in 2008. It is in their parasitical nature, and they fear if they don't they will lose control of their own hordes. I hope we counter with our own appropriate terms, like kicking a messenger down a well. Edited by Tywin Lannister

Finally, we can agree on something.

What a relief.

....stop trying to make fancy words and try to use arguments instead.

Where did Dajobo ever make this certain reprisal of "eternal war"? Also stop trying to make fancy words and try to use arguments instead.

Reprisal is a "fancy" word? rofl

Seriously, some of you guys take this game way too personally. At least ya'll get to fight and actually do something with your pixels. :(

When one person says that doing a certain thing may or may not lead to a certain reprisal, then that constitutes a threat against anyone doing or intending to do the first thing.

It's really very simple. So simple, in fact, that I think you probably get it but are being intentionally obtuse.

OK, so maybe I'm wrong and you aren't being intentionally obtuse. I apologize.

You are doing an awful lot of water carrying for what is technically an ally of a ODoAP partner.

If you find NpO's desire to punish people who throw tech at DBDC that problematic, NoR should declare war on NpO.

Ahh, I see.  Well, there you go.  Since Fark doesn't appear to be going much of anywhere this war, nor are several other prominent alliances for that matter unless circumstances change, I guess he'll just have to have a seat with the rest of us.

We're going somewhere.

Back into sanction.

I am merely expressing my opinion with respect to a stupid, ultimately unenforceable policy. If you think I'm doing so on behalf of someone else, all I can do is tell you that you're wrong. I have something of a history of expressing my opinion regardless of my alliance's relationships. (One of the benefits of retirement: "My opinion, not my alliance's" actually applies to me.)

I have precisely zero say in Nordreich's affairs.

They can't Roq scheduled them to be Fark's counter.

Oh hey, it's Mogar being wrong again!

Nordreich has a grand total of three treaty partners. All of them are currently involved in this war. None of them have requested our assistance. Furthermore, based on the current state of the war, it's unlikely that any of them will ask for our help.

If Fark were to hit one of Non Grata, Doom Squad or GATO then yes, we would have an opportunity to strike Fark if our allies asked for our assistance. However, there are much larger alliances currently involved in this conflict which pose a greater threat to Fark's treaty partners, so their hitting our allies wouldn't make a whole lot of sense at this point.

Do you follow the train of thought here? Once again, you're either pulling 'facts' out of your ass or you're simply taking every bit of gossip you hear and fitting it into the conspiracy theory/ies you've been spinning since Day One.

NoR and DT were the scheduled counters to any potential Fark entry, which would likely be on Non Grata due to Fark being in XX with Polar, but go ahead and post a half dozen sentences in an attempt to disprove me when it came from Roq's mouth, and anyone in your coalition channel knows this.

I'm not in the coalition channel. Are you?

EDIT: Oh, and I just noticed that you're stretching it even further. Please explain the tie between DT and NoR or between DT and NG.
