There Weren't Enough Fish in the Sea

Recommended Posts

It started kind of like this I believe: We were lost at sea for close to 3-4 months, and then we crash landed on an island. We are going to stop it right there because no one wants to hear the drunken Irish rambling of Kiloist. Anyway, we are declaring our existence because all the cool alliances do it. So here, we exist now!

Here before you lies The Scroll of Daggerfall:

The Daggerfall Covenant Charter

d4c32ef1-f927-4c65-9099-f3f31d1f8aa5_zps

Preamble:
The Scroll of Daggerfall serves as the guiding charter of the alliance. It is the highest protocol of agreement made between all nations of the Covenant and as such is to be adhered to throughout the journey of Daggerfall. All necessary articles of legislation are included in this scroll.

Article One: Unification

The nations of Daggerfall agree to come together under this pact and defend one another from aggression, as well as to abide by this scroll in all its laws and orders. Members of the alliance agree that they must not be a member of another alliance at any point during their time in Daggerfall. It is also agreed upon that our official team colour is to be black.

Article Two: Membership of the Covenant

Any nation wishing to gain entrance to the alliance must first undergo an application process. As an elite alliance, Daggerfall takes only the most intelligent of mind and the most competent in skills. Membership of the alliance is to be recognised as a privilege, not a right. The High King may accept or reject applicants to the alliance at his discretion. Any member of the alliance may be expelled by the High King at any time, without consideration for any other legislation.

Article Three: Government

The King of Daggerfall may appoint and dissolve government positions at any time. The High King serves for life until resignation or death, at which point an heir will immediately assume the position. The high government of Daggerfall is made up of the following positions:

King - He who sits atop the dark throne takes the title of High King of Daggerfall, exercising power and absolute authority over the alliance. The King has a duty and responsibility to lead the alliance with the utmost dedication and competence, striving to better the Covenant as a whole.

Sentinel - The ultimate internal guardian of the alliance, the Sentinel is the embodiment of the powers of the Adeptus Arbites. The Sentinel oversees all internal affairs of Daggerfall, including recruitment, law enforcement and the screening of members.

Lord Marshal - Seen as the greatest military commander that Daggerfall can provide, the Lord Marshal is the right hand of the King, a master of warfare and all its aspects, strategic, tactical and operational. The Lord Marshal has prime authority over the army and all its assets, striving to ensure that the combat skills of the Covenant's soldiers are second to none.

Cardinal - Head of the Diplomatic Corps, the Cardinal is the left hand of the King, going throughout the world spreading word of the glorious Covenant. All matters involving foreign affairs are the domain of the Cardinal.

Treasurer - As the overseer of the Departmento Munitorum, the Treasurer takes charge over all of the alliance's financial operations, including tech deals, resource trading and economic programs.

Provost - With full authority over the Hammerfell Academy and its workings, the Provost is absolutely dedicated to providing the alliance with a powerful, streamlined machine of education and knowledge, overseeing all such tests and guides as deemed necessary for the education of the Covenant.

Article Four: War

The Daggerfall Covenant reserves the right to defend its members in the event that one, or all, is subjected to unprovoked aggression. Sanctions placed against a member of Daggerfall without going through the proper diplomatic procedures may be considered an act of war and treated as such. Tech raiding is allowed, but a raider must receive a license and a government member must approve the raid. Any nations found guilty of unauthorised raiding will be subject to military operations and possible expulsion from the alliance. This applies to any and all unauthorised wars started by members of the alliance, as well as acts of unauthorised espionage.

Article Five: Amendments

Any modifications to the Scroll of Daggerfall can be brought about by a simple large majority vote, taken by the members of the high government of the Covenant.

We hereby place all blame for this horrible announcement on Sir Kiloist because he sucks at writing DoEs, it is better than what was written before this one though.
