hah, really? Nor were a fair few people on EZI lists, or whatever the various alliances referred to them as, after the Karma war. It's really as simple as a post from VE granting the alliance white peace at any point over the last 3 years. I just wondered if there was an actual reason you hadn't but it seems either there isn't or you don't care to share. Fair enough though, do as you please, just strikes me as a complete waste of time.

Near as I can understand, there wasn't a /b/ around TO grant white peace treaty with. We're back now, and truce speaks are being undertaken. What didn't happen when we weren't here doesn't really matter. 20/20 hindsight, blah blah blah. Whats the point of debating and speculating on why things happened a certain way for past three years?

Edit: I'm taking notes from VE here; it's okay to keep a disbanded alliance at war for as long as you want, because they don't exist at the time. I'm sure upset I didn't think of that one.

Y'all are doing this wrong. Welcome them in, let them expand their ranks and of course buy some of that juicy tech. Then take them out back and cull the herd. The problem makers will ragequit, while those who want to lead their nations will stick around and join established alliances.

My understanding is that the /b/ of the Third Great War Era had a poor military showing. Given that this new /b/ has no established nations (with WRCs, SDIs, etc) it will be a long time before they're a threat to anyone. Let someone adopt them as a client state and they can get smacked down if they exhibit the feared /b/ehaviors.

Seriousily though, change the name /b/. Using the name /b/ basically suggests a migration of ideology and if that occurs you'll find yourself ejected from Planet Bob by its combined military might and likely the divine hand of Admin and his Ninjas as well. Get a name that will hearken to your roots and help you recruit, but is different enough to make the point that this place is different from your homeland.

Plus at the end of the day, /b/ brings up a lot of negative feelings. Whether or not it's fair to blame the newcomers is kind of moot, reality is what it is.

Well this is dumb. Not sure why you would ever want to (re)form /b/ but I'm not sure why anyone ever wanted to form it in the first place.

I was going to say that nobody cares whether you're from that particular dumb and worthless community (because if we took issue with every single dumb and worthless community out there we would be very, very busy), but then there were 17 pages of people hyperventilating.

Thanks, and I guess I will do that as soon as I possibly can, but don't expect it anytime soon. I'm still trying to flag down the other third world nations of this alliance with smoke signals. If we can all get in one place, we'll vote on a name change, government, and a whole bunch of otherstuff. But until i catch their attentions to change their alliance declirations, i cant exactly change the name, can i?

Yeah, I'm not particularly fond of potential pending curb-stompings. But one thing I will say for the name, its DEFINITELY controversial. It has caused a lot of conversation, hushed mumblings and hysterical screaming.

And controversy definitely inspires fresh things happening.

There the ones that nearly got CN shut down by posting like child porn and mutilated animals on the old CN forums. Admin had to shut down the forums for a little while even. Don't like seeing them back. Not an issue with the alliance beforehand, just the stuff they did before they left is enough to make me dislike them.

It wasn't just the forums, Planet Bob shut down for a while if I recall correctly. Something to with some sort of [ooc DDOS /occ] attacks I think?

Do you have ANY damned idea how many members of the previous /b/ are still on the game that have moved into other alliances? You guys are being totally xenophobic. Fine, we picked a controversial name. Watch us closely and let us know WHEN we $%&@ up in the slightest, but we haven't done !@#$ yet.

Anyways, back to earlier point. There are still a GREAT number of nations here who originated on the Chan homeworlds, and they haven't been messing anything up. It was NOT the whole of /b/ that was bad last time around, just a few bad apples. Look to the sacrifice of Fur made so those who wanted to really play could keep doing so. She disbanded the alliance and gave herself forefit.
