Rating Alliances

I thought it would interesting to get a sample of people's perception of fighting ability. Reorganize the list with badasses at the top and creampuffs at the bottom, there's no right or wrong way to rate them as long as you're being honest about it.

This is the top 40 minus GPA, WTF and TDO. If you can't be assed to rate them all just omit the ones you don't care to bother with.

Hmm, looking at other people's ratings it seems we've broken the #5 curse.

I realize some of you ex-Hegemony types are still a bit sore from the last war, but rating Polar under 5 is absurd. There is nobody in the world that could go toe to toe with them and win.

As you can tell, I tend to be of the school of thought that with the proliferation of various war guides that all pretty much say the same things, most alliances are roughly on par with each other, or otherwise average.

Alright, I'll bite on one of these for once.

Since I feel like complicating things (OOC: and I have a paper I'd rather not be working on ), I decided to weight my responses. I gave 20% of my rating to my perception of an alliance's historical performance (since this is a "perception" poll), 10% to "impact" (how much you'd notice if the alliance slammed into you), and 70% to recent performance. I also added 0.5 to alliances who I thought have an extra "something" that gives them an extra edge.

As for the "N/As", I really have no idea (or, rather, even less of an idea) about their fighting ability.
