National address.

Recently, the Emperor of Torkennistan issued the infra act. In his decree 500 levels of infra have been purchased. In doing so, this has opened up numerous trading oppurtunities and boosted the economy greatly since the first and only war declared by Torkennistan in which 3,768 brave young men lost their lives. Yet their sacrifice did not go unnoticed, due to the loss of lives a huge purchase of tech has been pushed for, resulting in 99.99 levels, greatly regarded as a natural economy boost.

Blue Wolf News

In leading news, The Blue Wolf Federation has anounced that they are authorizing the recruiting of 100 additional police forces. The Federation has made a clear statement that military expansion is a low priority. Federation personel are modestly equiped with basic sub machine guns and bullet proof vests. Though the people desire a stronger military, the current size will suffice the protection of this small nation against foreign invasion of minimal scale. Rumors are spreading however about a n

The Real Good Wars

In every political world, there are those who seek to protect and those who seek to conquer. However, in the CN world today, rationality of rulers is dwarfed by the desire to bully smaller nations into submission. Though this is considered natural and an excuse for alliances to start wars, there is a lack of fore thought in general on all sides that makes the George Bush invasion seem sensible. For example, wars are constantly being declared world wide for unspecified reasons other than general

Notice: Scammer

Notice: BOSTON BRUINS of BOSTON has been PM'ing random people trying to cause trouble. Common things he sends is requests for tech, requests that someone attack him (because I told him he can't attack others, it's against our rules), offers to spy on nations behalf and other types of messages designed to cause drama. I think he may be a re-roll of "waffleman" - if any of you remember him. Can't prove it through. He is the type that is looking to cause trouble and can be rather annoying.

Aluminum Casting

I now present my miniature blast-furnace. It will be used to melt scrap aluminum. It should be ready to be fired in about 4 days once the curing is completely done (it's been 3 now). It is constructed out of a large steel can and quickcrete. As you can see, I sawed a steel pipe with a hacksaw and inserted it in the bottom by punching out and filing a hole in the bottom of the can before filling the can with concrete. By first figuring out the volume of the can, and then subtracting the volum

Chapter 1 pt 1

It was a small nation of the yellow sphere, with a few wonders, and a crummy collect of infastructure. The only person that it held any importance to is Albert_Bent_101010, and that just so happened because he is the one who lives in it. He had moved his formally great top-three-hundred nation after fighting with NPO in the Dave War, to Umbrella, after being hideously ZIed in the preformentioned Dave War. Then the Equalibrium War started and he was promptly again IZed, he then joined Anarchy In

ANZAC Day

An early ANZAC Day cherio for tomorrow. There are a lot of ANZAC legends, and stories we know well, this year I'm going to link you to one not so well known but no less legendary, The Battle of Long Tan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_long_tan http://youtu.be/8gUSq7pxux4 The above documentary is long... but good. Grab a beer this ANZAC day and settle in for it if you get the chance. It tells the story of 100 odd Aussie diggers that got ambushed by a few thousand Viet Cong and North

The treaties go bump in the night

So this is about the treaty web and the fact that so many alliances have conflicting treaties. Which people complain about. A lot. If you are not aware of this, welcome to the OWF, I hope your first time is not too traumatising. The thing is, everyone has either very very few treaties or treaties that might seem to clash. Yet lots of people bemoan the twisted nature of the web and the insane complex tangle that can now only be expressed in 3D. However, it continues. In every war there have b

Prologue

On the uncharted backwaters of the internet, in a game known as "Cybernations", existed an alliance so amazing primitive that they still thought trade circles were "a pretty neat idea". Now this alliance had a problem. Most people in it were unhappy for pretty much most of the time. Solutions were tried, mostly involving little yellow circle with three black triangles, but this usually served to make things worst, and it wasn't the multi-colored shapes that were the ones who were upset in the fi

Terrorism in the states

So on Sunday two bombs exploded near the finish line of the famous Boston Marathon. These blasts killed three and injured about 150 more (those numbers are still rising). The local police have now turned over the investigation to the FBI, who has investigated and says the following things about this tragedy: - The bombs were made with pressure cookers - The bombs held nails, ball bearings, and other small metal pieces - The bombs were placed in a position to where they could do the most damag

Let me explain....

Hello, So your probably wondering what this is. This is a parody. Of The Hitchhiker Guide to the Galaxy. Since there's no major war to make a highly controversial blog entry about, I figure I might as well entertain the masses with this. I will make a blog entry each week on each different chapter of The Hitchhikers Guide to the galaxy (you know what? Screw, the a mouth-full to say, so I'm just going to abbreviate it to HHGG from here on out) starting with the prologue, and each will be cy

> Talk to CC you shrug. Yeah, why not? If they were added to the network, they must be important for one reason or another. Whoever they are. You pause for a moment, before gingerly opening up a conversation with CC. However, you cannot talk to CC, because you can only refer to events impersonally. To talk, you will have to look at the conversation from CC's perspective. > Be CC You are now Meulin Leijon. ==TD Has Entered CC's Crib== CC : ~(=^‥^)ノ < H33Y THERE! I'M MEULIN! CC :

INTRO: BobBound

Welcome to BobBound; Cybernation's first interactive Declaration of Existence (as far as I'm aware)! Here's how it works; between now and the DoE, I will be organising a RP-filled background-laden story leading up to the official DoE. Its elaborate and entertaining nature should hopefully give some background as to the nature of the Alliance, as well as the folks within it. All comments made in an 'action'* format may be selected and will have an influence on how the plot unravels. This advent

What I love about cybernations (So far)

As you can see from the title, this will be about cybernations (obviously) Particularly what I love about cybernations. This will be in primarily list format, with a few paragraphs in between. Enjoy. 1. The game doesn't change. OK, I should probably explain this one. Now obviously cybernations changes, such as the smiley face pop. happiness changing to a good ol' number pop. happiness, but it stays the same at its core. Let me give an example of a game that DOESN'T stay true to its core.

Recruiting friends IRL

"Good news, everyone!" So, yeah, I'm sure some of you have attempted to recruit your friends and family... and often to your chagrin, no doubt. I actually tell most of my friends that I play, and among some of my friends it's become a sort of joke that I always try to make them play. I have had varying degrees of success, but nobody has stuck around for the long haul. My best friend from college moved to a different country and shortly discovered that I suck at keeping in touch with people

Well... Back to basics?

So, towards the end of the recent war, I went into economic-mode due to depleting my warchest. I was unconcerned about being attacked as long as I maintained some nukes and stayed in the 60K NS range. Today, I just happened to look through my nation's info page, scroll down, and noticed something unusual. 5 Guerrilla Camps... And I had already done a mini-infra jump from around 3.5K to 3.99K a few days ago.

"Who said anything about panicking?"

"This is still just the culture shock. You wait till I've settled down into the situation and found my bearings. Then I'll start panicking." Everyone at one time or another finds themselves in a peculiar place. Peculiar not necessarily meaning strange, scary or frightening, but certainly not void of fear. One only have to ask if they're willing to brave a new adventure to see what's on the other side of the universe to gauge their character. Would one be interested in such an adventure they ma

Stupidest mistake EVER

Well, that was stupid. What I did, I mean. This was probably the most blundering, idiotically stupid thin even humanly possible to do in cybernation’s and I did it. You see, I had saved up a bunch of money to make a huge infrastructure jump, but then a stupid thought occurred to me. “Hmm, maybe if I sell my entire infrastructure so the price will go down, THEN make the jump, I’ll save money.” Clearly this did not work out, and in the process of trying to get my infrastructure back I los

A word on technology

So I was looking at my tech levels earlier today and I realized that even though my nation has (widespread?) access to, what is that? I guess cellular phones and computers, my Literacy rate is still 20%. I understand that my literacy rate go's up as my technology rate does, and this isn't really a rant against the literacy/technology levels, it's a rant against the pictures the use to represent them. The PURITANS, had a higher literacy rate then I do. And yet I have computers. Is their some so

An Apology

Hello, I would like to apologize for any confusion in my last blog entry, I was not trying to offend anybody in Competence, I was merely giving reasons why I thought it was logical for Competence to surrender (I.g. Equilibrium had more, nations/nukes/NS) I would also like to apologize to anyone who thought I was trolling. I was in no way trying to provoke an emotional response to my entry, and I hope no one was too offended by it. Thank you for your time.
