What is RIAFAQs?

Something I randomly made since Ogaden stole my announcement after thinking I was on vacation today. Silly Ogaden. :P Enjoy this brief insight into the madness that is the Random Insanity Alliance.

 

What is RIA?

RIA is the Random Insanity Alliance, a maroon team alliance. We are a diverse, friendly, and very laid back alliance. We will accept and help anyone willing to attempt to become a RIAer.

 

Where did they come from?

RIA came from the Random Insanity board from GameFAQs on July 23, 2006.

 

Why did they come here?

The RIA originally came to help the 'red team' defeat the evil LUE menace. They were, however, later forced off red to maroon and got bored of this goal. They then decided to do their own thing and stopped caring but the LUE menace ended up dying anyways so mission accomplished! Now we just like to be Random and Insane and have our own silly fun with little regard for anything else. Come check out our forums some time as rialliance.net and enjoy!

 

Who are the Triumvirate?

The RIA's current Triumvirate consists of Shadow, Ogaden, and im317. This current Triumvirate, Triumvirate X, consisting of these three has served since August 2012.

 

Who is Shadow?

Shadow (or ShadowDragon), Triumvir of the RIA, originally was elected as Head of Internal Affairs on July 1, 2008 during which he was awarded the Funktuar Award, RIA's highest honor at the time for his work. He later became Triumvir on August 10, 2008 replacing Azural who had resigned and has served continuously ever since. This is his 11th time being re-elected (Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results) for a 6 month term as Triumvir making him (presumably) the longest serving leader of any alliance. He has served as Triumvir for 5 years, 3 months, 25 days as of today. Shadow helped found RIA as one of the originally invaders from Random Insanity. Some honors he has received include the Legion of Merit from the Armed Coalition of Valor, a diplomacy medal and cordially award from TOOL who RIA had fought against in the Bipolar War, and keeping up with his name he has received honorary membership in the Global Order of Darkness from the Dark Lord himself. If you haven't met him before he always welcomes a friendly chat. :) He may also be known for writing 90% of RIA's announcements in the last couple years and has been occasionally accused of being some sort of clone of Delta as they have been known to act relatively similar.

 

Who is Ogaden?

Ogaden, Triumvir of the RIA, was originally a foot soldier in the New Pacific Order. He rose to infamy during the Karma War due to his frequency engagements on the OWF throughout the conflict. Throughout the time he was NPO's ambassador to the RIA. During which we slowly brainwashed him via the super secret insanity radiation permeating from our forums. He later joined the RIA on August 07, 2009. As time went on he became an integral part of the RIA through the creation of RI5, our robot overlord, and his various stints in government. He first served as our HoR from June 2010 to January 2011 before retiring. He then served briefly as HoE in April 2010 and later again in October-November after which he swapped back to HoR for December-January 2012. He then swapped back to HoE once again in April-May 2012. He just couldn't make up his mind of wanting to be a HoE or HoR, quite the dilemma. He then took a two month break before coming back as HoE in August-September 2012 after which he finally became Triumvir in October 2012. He has since automated 90% of our lives through RI5, something all RIAers are very happy for. One side effect of this is him being known for spamming everybody's forum inboxes all the time. :P

 

Who is im317?

im317, Triumvir of the RIA, was formerly a leader of the PoTD alliance, another invasion alliance which came from the Poll of the Day board on GameFAQs. On October 15, 2007, he merged the PoTD Alliance in to the RIA, who welcomed their GameFAQs brethren with open arms. However his time was short lived as the left the RIA at the end of the following month for Atlantis and then the Viridian Entente after Atlantis' death. After a year he came back to RIA's forums as VE's Ambassador to RIA. This was his greatest mistake as the same brainwashing insanity waves that affected Ogaden began to affect him, though at a slightly slower pace. He later returned home to the RIA on November 02, 2009. He eventually became Head of Foreign Affairs in February of 2011 for which he served two one month terms. After this he became Triumvir for the first time from June-September 2011. After which he jumped back over to HoFA from October to January 2012 and again from May to July 2012 after being usurped by the dreaded Shadow Slayer. He was later re-elected as Triumvir in August 2012 and has continued to serve ever since.

 

Who is the Cabinet?

RIA's Cabinet consists of 5 positions, the HoFA, HoR, HoE, HoMO, and HoIA. The current Cabinet is Cabinet LVIII.

 

Who is HoFA?

The current HoFA, or Head of Foreign Affairs, is Jenne. Jenne has been a member of the RIA since April 15, 2009. He has served in every Cabinet position during his time here, though he is probably most known for previously being our HoMO for quite some time. Before joining the RIA he served as Minister of Defense of the Byzantine Empire, was ZIed during the Continuum-NoV War after BE merged into NoV, and was a member of a micro known as the Atlantic Empire. After joining RIAer, he later rose to serve as HoIA from June-November 2010 and then HoMO for over a year from April 2011 to July 2012. After a two month break, he jumped over to being HoE from October-November 2012. After another short 4 month retirement, he jumped over to being HoR from April-May 2013. He became HoMO again briefly from June-July 2013 and has now become our HoFA for the past several months. He has thus had the honor of serving as all five Cabinet positions at different period of times. One can only assume he wants to collect more medals on our forums.

 

Who is HoMO?

The current HoMO, or Head of Military Operations, is Apophis775. Apophis joined the RIA on March 07, 2008 after being recruited by Dontasemebro. He served as RIA's HoMO originally from October 2008 to January 2009. He then jumped over to HoIA from February-March 2009. After a long retirement he jumped back into HoIA from October 2010-May 2011. After another long retirement he ran and became HoR from October-November 2012 after which he jumped back to HoIA for which he remained from December 2012 to September 2013. He has now decided to take up the mantle of HoMO again and we look forward to the glorious battles to come.

 

Who is HoIA?

The current HoIA, or Head of Internal Affairs, is Croix. Croix joined the RIA on October 03, 2010 after the remnants of Sol merged into us. He is part of the CDS infiltration team and has succeeded in holding numerous positions in the RIA.  He first became gov in June 2011 when he was elected as HoIA. He served out his term from June-July 2011 and took over the second half of the following term in September 2011. After this he jumped over to being HoR from October-November 2011. We like playing musical gov a lot it appears. He then retired for a short time before becoming HoIA again from June to November 2012. After taking another retirement he has returned to being HoIA as of October 2013 and was once again re-elected. Fun times all around.

 

Who is HoR?

The current HoR, or Head of Recruitment, is hackerhog (though he may not know it yet which is another funny story). hackerhog joined the RIA from The Order of Halsa on February 28, 2010. Throughout his time in the RIA he has been a loyal and active member. This is his first stint in government and we look forward to his fresh take on things.

 

Who is HoE?

The current HoE, or Head of Economics, is rlrcstrnthusiast (after his name was pulled from a hat). rlrcstrnthusiast joined the RIA on June 19, 2008 after being a lurker on the Random Insanity board on GameFAQs and noticing us. Throughout his time in the RIA he has also been a loyal and active member. He served a brief stint as HoR in April 2012 previously. We welcome his return and look forward to his more or less fresh take on things as well.

 

Who is Captain Planet?

The 39th person to take up the role of Captain Planet of the Random Insanity Alliance is Biff Webster. Biff re-joined us recently after the death of the Cult of Justitia. He served as HoR for the past two months before deciding his true dream in life was to bring pollution down to zero. We look forward to his efforts. Biff originally joined the RIA on November 27, 2011 and fought with us throughout the Grudge War, something we thank him greatly for. He later left the RIA to CoJ on February 26, 2012. We are happy he has now returned home.

 

What is RIA Trade Partner?

RIA protects an alliance affiliation known as RIA Trade Partner. RIA Trade Partner is an open AA that anybody can join for protection as long as they switch to maroon and remain responsible for their own aggressive actions. They have recently snuck their way onto the bottom of the amazing sanction race. They have also recently become sentient and are recruiting for themselves. We look foward to the day they surpass us and become our overlords.

 

Who is RI5?

RI5 is RIA's Head of Everything. It is our robot overlord created by Ogaden. RI5 handles the day to day functions of the RIA by creating tech deals, sending missions, and keeping track of RIAers among other things. One of its most important functions, however, is keeping track and holding a leaderboard of the number of llamas each RIAer holds in their herd. It is also known to contain a treaty database and a large database containing nearly all wars, aid, and alliance statistics in the world going back to 2011 through the use of the downloadable stats released daily by the almighty admin.
