PNN Sells Tabloid Tribune to MMM

Tabloid Tribune Headquarters Liberated from Pacifican Control

MK GiE, FRANCOGRAD: Christmas came early this year for the Mushroom Kingdom Government-in-Exile when Crown Company Mushroom Media Ménage acquired Pacific News Network publication the Tabloid Tribune. The storied brand, representing the longest running publication in Pacifican History, was sold for $14 billion in stock and cash. King Paul, as sovereign of the MMM, stated that this sale was the beginning of a “new Media Empire for Mushroom Kingdom, reminiscent of when the LUEspaper was found on every porch in Bob. May our message of Peace and Enlightenment be spread throughout the world.”

Pacifican Imperial Officer of Media Affairs and current PNN chairman Brennan stated that PNN needed to focus on its core-publications. “This move is similar to our 2005 divestment when we sold the Weakly Midnight Star and the West Pacific Tabla Rasa. The Network operates best when its brand identity is represented by limited, high quality products. The Pacific Press and PNN-International are the future of the Network, and shareholders’ near unanimous approval of the deal shows they agree with my vision.”

The Tribune was unable to schedule interviews with minority shareholders who were against the sale, due to a recent curtailment of visiting hours at the Moldavi Re-education Facility for Dissident Thought.

Market reaction was mixed, with a sharp sell-off on the news and a late-day rally to make up much of the lost ground. Pacific News Network, symbol PNN (FSEE), was down 1 ¼ to 43 ½ at the closing gong.

Management has indicated that there will be changes at the Tribune, especially with more multimedia content. However, they contend that the publication will remain true to its roots, and always stay one step ahead of the truth.

It's a me... Santa Mario!

NPO Media Offices, FRANCOGRAD: In a showing of Christmas friendship, the Media Department of the New Pacific Order teamed up with the Mushroom Kingdom Government-in-Exile to send a special Christmas message to all of Bob. The people rejoice that these two peoples, traditionally at odds, have come together in this Christmas miracle. We encourage residents of all nations to sing along to the 12 Days of CN Christmas.

Archon Discusses 2011 Goals for MK

The seat of the usurper

Toad Town, Mushroom Kingdom: From his illegitimate throne of lies, the de facto autocrat of the Mushroom Kingdom laid out his annual report for the future goals of the Kingdom. Archon stated that 2010 has been a banner year, culminating in the annexation of Pandora’s Box and TOP into his official control. The throne-warmer stated that he is looking forward to the New Year's War, and how it will set back those who do not support the current regime by several years.

His statements may be listened to (and sung along with) here:

Applications Open for CN Academy Members

Who will take home the Admin®?

Capital City, SIR PAUL: Each year, the Cybernations Academy Awards gives out coveted prizes and titles to deserving alliances, nations, and individuals for outstanding achievements in the field of playing the great game. Unlike other awards systems plagued by ballot-stuffing, the CNAA is a merit-based awards system where members of an anonymous Academy representing all walks of life deliberate and discuss who truly deserves the title of “best.”

The Academy has announced that recruiting for the 2010 awards panel has begun. Applicants should be somewhat versed in the events of 2010 and be willing to act as an objective members of the panel in search of truth. Panel members are sworn to secrecy about their membership in the panel as well as their votes and any correspondence, and should expect to spend 5 to 15 hours on the 2010 awards. Panelists from previous years are eligible, but new applicants to the academy are given priority. Priority is also given to representatives of historically under-represented affiliations.

Those wishing to become a panelist should send an application to Sir Paul, with the following information:
Name and Nation.
Current Alliance and past three affiliations.
Statement on why you are qualified to be a panelist.
Statement on why you wish to be a panelist.
Statement agreeing to hold all members and proceedings secret.
The deadline for panelist applications are January 20, 2010.

If you'd like to see a replay of last year's ceremony, you can visit it here. Until then, see you at the Admins®!

It was a very good decision to sell off the shares of the TT to the MMM. I am sure that they can continue the work and showcase the world in the traditional way of the TT when it was a part of the PNN news corp. All of us here at the PNN wish Sir Paul the best of luck over at the MMM.

Where can I send my application?
From the OP: Those wishing to become a panelist should send an application to Sir Paul

There should be a button under my royal crest which allows you to send correspondence to me. However, announcing such an intension may ruin the whole "anonymous" thing the CNAA is known for... or does it?

These threads are always priceless for the rise you get out of MK.

I think you will find that the only ones 'getting a rise here' are the ones obsessing about us. We find Sir Paul rather unattractive and would prefer it if he stopped following us.
