Comrades!

We stand now in a war the likes of which the Order has not faced for 3 years. The level of hate spewed against us has reached the levels of the Great Patriotic War – as the pre-eminent power in the world, we the target of all unrest by a collection of people who are either vengeful, greedy, jealous or warlike. Just like in the Great Patriotic War, we are alone, abandoned by our allies. The anti-order alliances around the world have become vipers – so exited by their constant fanning of the anti-order flames that they seek to strike us. They have forgotten that no snake bite can get through the Pacifican jackboot.

But how have we come to this war? The general reason for this war is quite obvious – the world is filled with people who would like nothing more than to see us destroyed, and this is their opportunity to do so. But the actual trigger – and the miserable excuses the anti-order bandwagoners use to fuel the fire – need some explanation, for our enemies have expertly wrapped them in lies and fallacies.

The trigger for this war is an alliance named Ordo Verde – one of the Viridian Entente's little “anti-order” gaggle of friends. For a while, this alliance has been in an active relationship with the spy group, Blackstone Collusion (an imitation of Vox). It's leaders hang out with known spies, spies were found being recruited into the alliance, and a series of sensitive information flowed into Ordo Verde from their blackstone allies – for formal (but secret) alliance was in the making.

Two names stand out in particular from this; two ranking government officials, Mr Duffy and Sethb. Those names came to particular attention when a a blackstone member joined Ordo Verde, listing those two as his recruiters. He was then accepted immediately into the alliance and bypassed their academy. Quite suspicious so far, but they can still claim there was no guilt - “we didn't know” they claim, “he bypassed the academy because he was big” they claim “we just recruited him via mass messages” they claim – but an old nation would have surely had hundreds of invites; why would he specifically list those two people, both government officials for foreign affairs, as recruiters?

And what is so suspicious about those two figures as recruiters? Well, Mr Duffy has come on record stating that he would at any time welcome blackstone members “Into his house” (i.e, his alliance) – and right after that, one such member actually joins up, listing him as the recruiter and taking him up on his offer. Still, he claims ignorance – this is the same person who is on record discussing the possibility of alliance with an outlaw group of spies.

And what about the other recruiter of this outlaw, Sethb? Upon investigation, this man comes up just as guilty. This man, through his blackstone links, has been procuring screenshots from Pacifica's innermost sanctum! Once again, the Vermillion Vipers vehemently deny that there was any wrongdoing. “There was no spying” they cry, “it was only two gentlemen meeting by accident and having a short exchange”.

But this is anything but an innocent exchange – the words above being the quotes of the very words uttered between Sethb and his spy. From the very first words of their conversation it is obvious that Seth already knew the screenshot that was coming, and had been eagerly awaiting it – like any anti-order viper would. As if this is not damning enough, the blackstone spy takes great care in assuring that his friend will protect his identity. “Do not share it” he asks “guard it with your life” he asks. The viper promises – to keep it amongst the viper pit, to coil around it and protect it like an egg, protect it with its life. When the viper not only consorts, but actively collaborates with people spying on us and organizes their protection, it is quite clear the viper is our enemy.

And what role has big brother, the Viridian Entente, taken in all this? The alliance which has spent all its time since its establishment trying to establish a collection of anti-order vipers? The alliance filled by people who will flame us at any opportunity, and who collects around them a group who does the same?

These are people who will attack anything with the NPO name related to it. Our former allies were attacked as being “controlled” and “meatshields”. GATO, whose 'freedom' they formerly championed, is attacked for signing a pact with the order whose only truly binding clause is non-aggression and good relations. For these, they are “brainwashed” and “traitors”, suffering from “stockholm syndrome” and being “controlled”.

Something as simple as declaring that you are no enemy of the order makes you brainwashed?

When they decry those that simply want to be on the level of “let's be nice” - not even with the hint of alliance! - it is quite obvious what their intentions are. You either join them in their campaign against the order – or you'll be their target. GOONS returning to the world and forming a protectorate with the orders is decried as “coming under their heel” and being controlled – the simple act of stating that you will be protected while new and vulnerable makes you scum in their eyes. Any form of connection to the NPO is anathema.

So, what have these vipers done here? What is their role in this affair? VE has actively been participating in the diplomatic investigation, at every point trying to hinder it by derailing comments and shielding their fellow vipers from the searchlights of the Order.

The man that the Viridian Serpent enlisted for this job is Imperio, who immediately showed his intentions. Once presented with IP evidence of a blackstone member in Ordo Verde, his first reaction was to try and deny they were of any significance, and once that delay tactic failed, claimed “was not internet savvy” and so did not know what an IP was.

Well, that would definitelly be possible, under normal circumstances. But this same man that was not “internet savvy” proceeded to show a great deal of knowledge as to how possibly and IP might have been shared or faked – knowledge on a term whose existance he did not know moments earlier! Did he have a sudden epiphany? Or was this just an attempt to give the snake by his side time to prepare a response when faced with this evidence?

In fact, VE continued to attempt to derail the discussion and dismiss the charges, never seeming to offer one iota of evidence in their support. In fact, they followed a very predictable list of responses, one that has been around since the citrus war.

The excuses on this list have been relentlesly repeated amongst the rest of the Vipers, snakes eager to strike at Order. In fact, one of the most common rumours in the general CN forums is that the Blackstone Collusion is in fact nothing more than a tool of the Order to find excuses for wars!

The Order showed an extraordinary amount of patience during this period – for 5 days we waited, and offered them to come forward, offered leniency. Even as proof of their crimes arose, still they spurned the Order to attack, trying to provoke the war they have always wanted, and still our diplomats and our friends waited, pursuing diplomacy to its fullest extent. In the end, we merely offered to extract very light punishment on those two people – despite the obvious deep connection between the blackstone outlaw group and Ordo Verde. We offered to leave the alliance alone.

Still, with the protection of their fellow Vipers, the snake smelled the opportunity to strike. People who were jealous with our success, people who wanted to take our place, people who wanted revenge – they had all been biding their time. Whilst NPO had been taking every step it could to pursue diplomacy, the Viper army had been assembling, taking advantage of this time given to them. Even as it was becoming obvious that the Vipers just wanted a war – no matter what the reason – Pacifica tried to conduct itself with the quality it always has. Even as the CN forum was aflame with the knowledge that a war against the order was imminent – though nobody knew why, they cheered anyway, for the reason was insignificant, all they wanted was an opportunity to bring the order down.

And now they believe their time has come.

Make no mistake, these people seek our destruction. In their eyes, this is not a war about spies, about Ordo Verde or about VE, it is about the destruction of the New Pacific Order. To them, all our allies were simply shields that may get in their way, and had to be removed. All their fellow vipers are more tools to launch at us. Their goal is to accomplish what was denied to them in the Great Patriotic War.

It is clear we are the target of this; the vipers are so incensed by their own fire that they make no move to deny it. Their battle strategy is laid out as they eagerly discuss our end with their Vox friends:

don’t attack IRON/TPF/MCXA, et al. ONLY attack NPO targets, get entire alliances onto the Red team to steal their Senate seats and sanction the bankers, and nuke them !@#$%*es.”

All the Vipers have coalesced into a single viper pit. A hydra, a multi-headed snake whose only purpose is our end. Our merged enemy has a new face, as ugly as all the rest.

The vipers will attack us. The vipers care not for the nations of their tools, so long as they inflict maximum damage on us, so expect them to nuke us as much as they can. Their aim will be to declare war on as many of our nations as possible, and then unleash their entire nuclear arsenal on them – but we have already taken steps to prevent that. Our military strategy has been prepared, and the Vipers will fall, like all who have preceded them.

Many of you who are new have not had the chance to experience one of the larger wars of the order. This is your opportunity to shine. There will be casualties, yes – there will be a lot of casualties. But every casualty brings honour to the order, and every bit of pain makes us stronger. Despite what damage may be caused to us, our victory is inevitable. If seeing your nation take damage makes you doubt; remember: what is going away is just small bits of information stored in a server far, far away. But what keeps you alive is a bond that goes straight to your heart – that bond cannot be cut by any outside force. That bond makes you invincible, and with your comrades beside you, you will never lose.

The Vipers will claim that they wanted peace and that we attacked while negotiating – this is another lie. The 6 previous days were no more than a tactic of stalling by the vipers in order to get as many people to cancel on us as possible. The Order had no reason to drag this out – our side of the negotiations was aiming for an honest resolution. But the viper smelt blood. VE shut down on negotiations the night before the war:

And their OV puppets kept that stance throughout last ditch attempts by their allies to appear like they wanted peace. As the time of judgment dawned, they made their stance clear:

But truth is a mere casualty to the vipers. To them, all that is important is opposition to the order, no matter who speaks and what they say. They claim that the 6 days of refusals to even the simplest of punishments were somehow not conclusive, and that it was still the “middle” of negotiations.

The middle of what type of negotiation? One where they say “no, no, no, no, no – oh look he left, maybe yes”? It is quite obvious that their entire role in the process was a sham to cause a delay – much as they would like to accuse the Order of stalling. As already mentioned, the Order had everything to lose and nothing to gain by stalling – the Viper Pit had everything to gain by stirring up an international atmosphere of anti-order feeling, and succeeded in doing so.

For much of this time, the general public of the world was unaware of the reason for this atmosphere, knowing only that a war was coming soon – quite obviously, the exact reason was unimportant, only that the alliance was the New Pacific Order. This time was quite advantageous for the Viper Pit – following an identical strategy as the one in the Great Patriotic War, they isolated their enemy, and weakened the resolve of their allies, getting them to abandon the Order.

The entire negotiation process was a stalling tactic, and one which was successful.

In a cheap PR tactic, further “negotiations” took place after the attack on Ordo Verde, but these were quite clearly a scam. It was an ultimatum delivered rather than a process of negotiation, as any attempt by the Order to ask for any changes to the terms, even the smallest, was immediately regarded as a refusal and followed by threats of immediate attack.

How can negotiation take place when every response to our questions threatens a war? How can it be termed a “negotiation” when there is no room for negotiating to take place? How can it be a negotiation when it is shut down not because the Order refused any term, but because they asked for small clarifications? How can it be a negotiation when a 1-minute time limit for agreement is given – hours before update?

The Viper Pit ended the negotiations under a bogus claim of a mass flight to peace mode; that is quite clearly false: prior to the conflict, the number of nations at peace stood at 118; after it the number stood at 146. Twenty-eight nations out of nine hundred is a mass flight to peace? Once again, the claims are nothing more than an excuse to strike at the order, just like the ridiculous terms which would have 60 nations protect 900, with the supposed “help” of their allies – a help that they claim they would give, yet are unwilling to commit to on paper.

Much of the words people write on paper are meaningless – something obvious from recent events – but when people are not even willing to go that far, it is quite certain what their intentions are. The Pit of Snakes has been trying to destroy the Order for a long time, and these events just prove that point.

The international conspiracy against the Order has been successful; they have managed to get our allies to show their lack of a spine and abandon us. They have managed to outnumber us.

But they cannot win. As it stands, the Pit of Vipers outnumbers us by only 66%. But is any Pacifican truly worth only 1.66 of these !@#$%^&*? As they realize that we will not cave, they will invariably try to draw in more bandwagoners to their cause – despite some dubious claims by some of our former allies that they will try to stop such bandwagoning.

The snakes haven't even managed to achieve a 2:1 ratio over us so far – and that is what we need for a light breakfast. What will we do for the rest of our meals? I'll tell you what.

Lunch will be our sweet victory,

Dinner will be our revenge.

My Dear Comrades,

There are already several speeches posted in the Body Republic. It seems to always happen during times like these, but I do not believe this is any bad thing. They serve to motivate us, inspire us and remind us of who we are: Pacifican. We are Pacifican.

This war is getting started and, so early, we have discovered who are our true allies (or, rather, who AREN'T our true allies) and we've discovered who our true Comrades are. The process of purification and cleansing has begun, leaving only those true to Pacifica and the Emperor. The latter being the true members of this grand alliance. As Comrade Zhadum so http://pacificorder.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=87343, dark times are ahead. However, this does not phase me, for Lady Pacifica shines her light bright unto all those who choose to live under her grace. She has inspired a generation and a mere depletion of statistics cannot change what she has done for this game, for the culture of the Order and - most importantly - us, Pacificans, Brothers. Comrades.

I am currently overwhelmed with pride and admiration for all those who remain here, something which does not happen during peace time because the inspiration and camaraderie is always tighter in times of crisis, when we need each other. I see speeches, I see hails of support, I see true Pacifican members not bowing to the rhetoric of those who are bent on damaging us because we've wronged them in the past or some other obscure reason. However, we are unique. We have not and never will falter, even when the entire Cyberverse may be descending upon us, our bond is unbreakable, our resolve unshakeable and our will as Pacificans stronger than ever.

I have been here for a year, I've been a Diplomat, a member of Military Command, a Councillor, a Scribe, a Recruiter, in ACE - I have experienced, as many of us have, working under different people with different policies and ethos. Throughout all that, though, one thing remained the same: the tight bond we all have as Pacificans, regardless of rank. We are all a member of the same alliance. A year is nothing compared to some of our Imperial Officers and Veterans, I can only imagine how wonderful it has been to see the Order grow and change so much; watching the benefits of hard work unravel before your eyes; to watch the hard work pay off.

This is truly a fantastic place to be, and I am eternally proud to have the black and blue fly above me. This is not a game, it is a community. It is a group of friends, of brothers.

Pacifica isn't infrastructure.

We will prevail, we will ALWAYS prevail.

We are Comrades.

We are Brothers.

We are Pacifica.
