    Indeed Margrave I agree with you. The thing is ODN were the ones to say if they came they would come with 1000 nations. Now the world is waiting to see which allies support ODN's threat and which do not. STA and GATO have had members state clearly they do not. The rest have remained totally silent on their position and so must be assumed to support ODN's threat until they say otherwise.

    Nor will you. It'd be a pretty lousy thing to publicly dump on your ally and I don't think any of ODN's allies are those type of people.

    TB we don't think for one moment the ODN's of this world give a fig about what Polaris or NSO think of them. I can't speak for others but I know I went and read the threads for myself and my own interest and didn't even post in it as it's not our battle. I DO however think ODN care about what their own allies think of it.

    Grub is old and grumpy but I recognise the difference between isolationist and neutral and while to many they are the same, I think they are quite different.

    I think the opposite applies and you should visit. MI6 possibly has too many cooks to reach their full potential but their embassy is one of my favourite places to visit.

    This comment is more appropriate and less co-incidental than some people realise. Passing on the mantle isn't something taken lightly by any alliance leader and timing matters. I was contemplating retirement some time ago and then the storm clouds gathered and we knew we had an out-numbered war coming. I shelved my plans then as who wants to throw their successor a hospital pass? The timing of retirement though is more about trying to do it immediately after a war, win or lose, to give your successor maximum time to implement their vision before the next one. Without knowing it as a fact, I suspect Farrin's choice was also more about giving Letum maximum time before a war as well and not so related to the fact they lost that war. Thanks for the kind words at the end though and I thank the many others as well with good wishes.

    Greetings Planet Bob It is my great pleasure to announce to you my retirement as Emperor, and my appointment of EaTeMuP as the new and 10th Emperor of the New Polar Order. Since 2008 I have been continuously a member of the NpO Government, so in that time I think I've either been allied with or at war with almost all of you. It's been a blast and an experience I will never forget. If I tried to list all the people who deserve an individual shout out you'd still be reading this tomorrow, so I will refrain from that! I do need to thank all of our allies though, most of us have been to hell and back together and we aren't finished yet! I also need to thank our opponents. It may not be obvious to the casual reader but I think all of you without exception have treated me with decency and respect regardless of political positioning. Over the coming weeks and months Emperor EaTeMuP will be rebuilding Polaris both internally and externally. If you don't know him, I urge you to say hello and get acquainted. In Polaris when an Emperor retires our charter dictates that all Imperial Staff are also retired. The new Emperor appoints his own staff as he sees fit. This means stay tuned for a new Government lineup to be announced soon. For the many who's Embassies I visit every day, I'll still be visiting :) o/ EaTeMuP o/ Polaris
