You wish. Not that I have any real information, but I think they're probably boycotting the CSN "side" after the DT drama. Not completely rational, but I don't really blame them.
Well damn, I thought this blog was about Nordreich supposedly offering to declare war on Pacifica. This must be the cheese blog. My mistake.
-
Hey look. Another blog about NPO.
-
I agree. I will be boycotting next year's CNAA until this travesty is rectified.

I wonder which figure will be bigger: the amount of aid that would be required to bring GOONS back up to its pre-war NS, or the amount of extra tax collections MK and Umbrella will make due not not having to really war anything or go to PM.
It's more about the aid slots than the actual monetary amount nations are sitting on. 3 million is pretty much spare change for me, but I can only send out 18 million every 10 days. During that 10 days, I wouldn't be able do any tech deals.
Assuming I'm sitting on a billion, it would take me 56 full aid cycles (560 days) to run out of money, if that was all I was doing. And that's not counting additional tax collections of course. So a theoretical 100k nation, and nations much smaller than that as well, that is not at war and is only sending out aid will never run out of money. It what those other aid slots could be doing that count.
There's my monthly allotment of econ.

Congrats on surviving the first 3 weeks.

Guess this wasn't a waste of time after all.
-
Then recognize hostilities with them? Otherwise this just seems like a waste of time. I suspect Umbrella is much more proficient their forum masks in order than the Entente.
It is part of the game, people find causes they want to fight for and do so.
Deny it took place, but dismiss it in advance if it did happen as "part of the game"? You've learned much VE. There is hope for you yet.
-
I'm rather confused about this, given that you said GOONS and MK should stay.
Both high average NS alliances that don't mass recruit. Have similar world views.
GOONS is kinda up in the air with me, but MK needs to get tech from somewhere so I guess they can stay.

MHA: Disband. Unless they actually start doing stuff after this war.
GPA: Stay. Some people just like to collect pixels and talk about the
weather, they need a place to hang out.
Fark: Stay.
NPO: Stay. Who else would enforce all these disbandments?
WTF: Get out. We already have a neutral alliance.
ODN: Stay. Neomoralists need a meatshield.
IRON: Disband. You have a treaty with MHA.
Sparta/Athens: One of you disband. 1 Greek alliance is enough.
TOP: Stay.
MK/LUE: Stay. I just threw up in my mouth a little though.
Legion: Stay. Evil needs a meatshield.
Umbrella: Disband. Survivors join TOP.
VE: Stay.
TDO: Disband. See WTF.
GATO: Disband. I tried to think of a reason to keep you around but I couldn't.
FOK: Stay.
Nordreich: Stay.
NpO: Stay.
FAN: Stay.
GOONS: Stay.
Almost everyone else should disband.
If I'm still interested in CN after this war, I'm going to start trol- er criticizing every declaration of existence thread. They are enough alliances out there already. If you want to be in gov, just find one incompetent enough.

Please die.

Someone really ought to disband though Stormsend. I believe you made a statement on one of the shows that "there are too many alliances in the game."
If that is the case, I humbly nominate the GOONs. Doom House benefits by not having to worry about sending ~400 slots of aid or whatever it is now in the next war. There are any number of alliances that would be willing to take their place at the Kingdom's side as a replacement.
Maybe when Cortath is on you could discuss a "trade."
-
It worked for VE in 2007, it can work for you now!
-
Wish I knew what the hell you were talking about since I was in Lejun in GW3.
-
As much as Doom House would love for it to be one big conflict, you can't declare war to "stop the NPO from regaining power" and still honestly believe this has anything to do with Polaris accepting screenshots. Then there is the fact that the "preemptive strike" failed to hit Polaris' direct treaty partners in Legion and TPF. If that isn't enough for you, FAN has made it abundantly clear this has nothing to do with the VE-Polaris conflict.
This of course will not change anyone's mind who is already made up, but by all means, lets argue this point in circles for the next several years. It is the CN way.
-
Pacifica surely brought about Doom House's preemptive strike that completely missed the alliances that actually had a treaty with Polaris because of the quality of our posts in the OWF. The CB was further made air tight by our allies declaring war on one of the attackers. Clearly, we should just surrender now in the face of such moral highground.
ooc: That's what I got out of the show but I still enjoyed it.

In 6 months?
We'll probably be rolling someone for spying on us during this war.
Lol.
I think the prospects are good for the game being interesting politically again, so long as people don't get carried away with peace terms.
edit: before people go crazy with "NPO is going to lose, we dictate terms not you", I'm also talking about the VE-NpO front and its chains.
-
Quick someone make a blog comparing the current powerstructure to the old Hegemony.
And I for one welcome our own sandbox war.
-
Very, very nice information and input on the situation. This s also another reason I believe this is its own war. This NPO and Doomhouse conflict was boiling for a bit and this was the perfect excuse and time for Doomhouse to pounce on NPO. Thank you for the input Henry.
No problem, this is probably going to be debated for a long long time. There are arguments to be made for a connection, I just think the case is stronger for it being 2 separate conflicts. Might blog about it later.
-
1. How much are you offering?
2. You're not going to win.
1. How about a hug?
2. You could just treat it as a hypothetical question...jesus. Way to hurt my feelings. No hugs for you.
-
No it's one war. The Doomhouse attack was an effect of the other war because NPO ordered their allies in TPF and Legion to not help their allies.
Also Umbrella is in war with STA and MK is in war with CCC. Calling this two different wars is really dumb.
Didn't see the other wars.
Still, in Archon's declaration, he wrote that "We cannot allow any chance of a return to power by the New Pacific Order." If Doomhouse is using that as part of the CB, I fail to see how this is part of the VE-NpO War. The Orders are no longer united by treaty. If Doomhouse were all that concerned about the Legion-NpO connection, why did they not attack Legion? Furthermore, the NPO/Legion MDP becomes an ODP in the event of chaining.

See article 4.
There was more than one factor leading up to last night's attacks.
-
2 other questions:
What do you think the reps should be if Doomhouse wins?
What do you think the reps should be if Pacifica wins?
-
Yeah I would count them as 2 separate conflicts. I believe \m/ was the only alliance connected to VE-NpO and they just dropped out.
-
You've changed. A lot.
Any truth to the rumors going around about Archon quitting?
-
I've just looked at the coalition of cowards thread again for the first time in over a year. There is no comparison. 40 pages of rage and it could have gone on for a 100 if the mods didn't lock it. I think we've mostly forgotten about the iFOK deal already; its been buried under all the other happenings of this war.
So, Nordreich

Yes totally. I wish that was about the NPO as well.
