We're all going to Disney Land!
Can we go to Dairy Queen afterwards?

I agree here, Fighting in CN is like a kicking contest where whoever has the biggest boots wins, and the only way to acquire boots that are equal to the veterans of the game (have all the wonders & improvements) is to do a grind that lasts two and a half years under perfect conditions. Removing the wait period between purchasing wonders might shave a few months off this grind. And more than a few people do not want to get into unnecessary fights before they get to this stage so this reduces the number of wars and powerplays in the game as a result.

Q is awesome in some of the episodes.
The look on Piccard's face is priceless when he wakes up and discovers Q in bed next to him.

You can all leave CN if you want.. I'll gladly be the last #1 on record Reverse psychology.. will that work?
No I will be here on the last day, a kind of grim fascination with this place has set in with me.

It's nothing new to me, I keep funny hours of late since my boss in his wisdom decided to give me split shifts.
-
I put the parts together myself, I can save quite a bit that way rather than just grabbing a prebuilt system.
It took me about 1 1/2 hours to put this lot together, but I work slow and read the manual a lot when I am doing this kind of thing since mistakes can be expensive.

Not going for the 2500k?
I would if I had the cash.

I hope you have other disaster supplies, it could take several days for electricity to be restored to all areas after a disaster. Also you may want to cook your frozen food and pack it in plastic boxes and keep it in an esky (or ice chest or whatever you Americans call them), and if you do not have one of these, use your freezer and refrain from opening too often. This will keep your food fresh & eatable for several days and by then the power will be back.
Anyhow best of luck and I hope to see you posting again real soon.

You make it sound like NEW have never fought a tough battle.NoR, I know they are extremely well organized and experienced so they would be able to coordinate attacks with greater efficiency and this is a war winning advantage. NEW needs to get out and gather some more experience before they can match NoR in this respect. It is not that NEW has not had tough battles, But that NoR has had more, they been there and seen literally all the ways a war can play out. And they have already strategies in place to deal with most scenarios, and one of these strategies is to have friends & allies (and most of all but often ignored by some, allies who are also friends).

You are welcome to worship Admin (pbohn) with me, he is far more fun to worship and does exciting things like post updates in game.

Not everyone is engaged in the world, I have been borderline inactive and bored out of my skull since Karma. Before that war I felt I was very much a part of a community, I took pride in RPing and helping out where I could. And trying to make CN more fun for everyone.
I miss the old CN where I was a part of the community, but I am not a fool. I know that is gone and a new world is here which I have no part of. This was made very clear to me during the karma war, and I have no wish to intrude where I am not wanted.

I wonder if its bad luck, or you don't have a clue with what you are doing when buying correct components.Prime minister, if you have a high-end computer, why are you overclocking your computer, unless you are actually trying to break your computer, which you have already admitted to doing pretty successfully in the past.
Why? Because I can. That's why. And yes I have had a few breakages in the past when I was experimenting, but that is part of the process of experimenting, I learned what I could and could not do.
-
Murphy's law claims another victim.
I tend to buy my computers once every two years though, I like to be able to play high end games.
And one of the downsides of high-end computers is that you need a mess of cooling, I have found through expensive trial and error that in the climate where I live liquid coolers will just not cut it on an overclocked computer in the height of summer (I live either in toowoomba or augathella, depending on work demands) and so I am forced to use heavy duty fans and I swear they sound like a mass of jet engines, but all the computers work.

Your purple prose just gives you away... Your unbelievable.

Congratulations you have made soap.
If you want a more exact measure of the pH of the solution you have made buy a pH meter or use universal indicator.
To test a soap for pH using universal indicator add a small drop to a soap sample and if the drop turns a blue or purple color then this indicates that there is an excess of lye in your soap and it should not be used on human skin.
Soap should have a pH of no greater than 9 although ideally it should be neutral and have a pH of 7.
Your solution maxed out the litmus strips with a maximum reading of 8.4 so I would not recommend that you use it on yourself.

The problem with wars is when they end, every alliance decides to make titles like "Peace in our time!" and "More peace in our time!" and "Peace in our time!" again. I hate that.
OOC: Check out Neville Chamberlain's biography on Wikipedia and you will gain an appreciation of the ironic humor of that quote.

The winning side CAN'T be picked if you are the one being curbstomped.
Then your fate is pretty much sealed the second the attackers decide on having the war.
I agree planet bob is dieing but not because of having to come up with CBs to have wars.
It is ridiculously easy to come up with a CB, you can accuse the other side of planning an attack, of spying , of any one of a dozen 'offenses' that require 'punishment'. Or you can stage a sting operation where you establish a shell alliance that can offer to sell information about your alliance to the alliance you wish to declare war on then 'discover' this and declare war on them for spying if they show even the slightest interest in the info.
It is dieing because there has not been a real war since anyone can remember. There has been plenty of challengeless curbstomps, but no real war where the defenders have actually had a chance of winning.
-
I think that coming up with a reason for a war that is slightly stronger than "we just don't like you" shows a little bit of class on the part of the declaring alliance.
-
The only possible downside I can see to this merger is that like in any merger TLR will inherit all the grudges that the alliances going into the merger had.
But on the upside you will have more members and a greater pool to choose the leadership of the 'new' alliance from.

The game dying usually goes in hand with one of the other five.
You missed the threads about the game dying.Agreed, but it's not just Polar. It seems like every thread goes to one of five things:1. NPO2. Past wars.3. [PB/XX/SF/MJ/CnG/Insert Bloc etc] is evil or bad.4. Polar is marked for death.5. Karma. That is because the game dieing is directly related to those five topics in some way.

I agree there are people now who have been waiting in the wings (for years in some cases) for a chance at government but the spots are filled by people who have been in the inner circle since day 1.
This game needs a more new leadership to avoid stagnation. Get a some new people in with new ideas and new and exciting things will happen.
