Today GATO not only managed to recruit an impressive nine members, but they did so for the second day in a row! While these two days of amazing gains was not enough to unseat UPN (who had another solid day with 4!), GATO is now only 1 recruit out of first place. As the contest enters its final week, a strong show by either of these two alliances could cement the contest for them. Meanwhile, ODN has a very solid day and manages to make up some of the distance they lost the previous few days while NpO puts a little distance between themselves and Sparta.

Late entry, you have a week to make 100 recruits to be in any sort of race.

To win you might want to aim for 150-170.

With no numbers in from UPN today, GATO retakes the lead.... though that lead is fraught with a little mystery as when the UPN results of the day are revealed GATO may very well find themselves in second place! However, as of now GATO is not only closing in on 100 recruits for the contest, but has reclaimed their place at the top of the standings. Meanwhile, ODN continues to lag behind and needs a strong push to jump back into the race while NpO is heating things up and creating the possibility of a run on third.

To be honest, we probably get most of our recruits because many of our recruiters play the "we're the oldest alliance in CN" card. It pays to be crotchety and use a walking stick. The young'ns help you walk across the street.

This was a slow day for the contest, UPN had the best turnout with 6 (though that was spread out over 2 days). GATO maintains their lead... but it is cut down to a slim two recruits, and UPN is still clearly very much in the competition and will soon join GATO in breaking the 100 recruit barrier. As we get into the final days of the competition, it seems clear that the winner will not be clear until the last day!
