The Network Hungers Well. I have to admit I never thought i'd be making another one of these posts! ODN is a bit sleepy and a semi-retirement home at best. But our allies asked for help, and so we'll do our part even if there's not as many of us as there used to be. And I admit I felt a bit nostalgic breaking out the old dow meme. So. Our friends in NPO were attacked, and as such via the terms of our MDP with them, we are pleased to declare war on our old sometime friends, sometimes enemies in NG. Here's hoping to a halfway decent fight as we burn the place down!

its nice to see this finally happen. I feel we've gotten close in the past, but the stars never aligned. Its been great getting to know you folks the last few months, and here is too a strong positive future relationship

As in, my personal opinion (which people can message me privately if they are curious) actually had no baring on whether we went in or not and nothing to do with this dow really. Heh, im one person and I would hardly say my personal views reflect ODN as a whole. Anytime you gather a hundred folks together there's going to be places people agree and places they disagree. However, if ODN wasnt of one mind in backing our allies involved in this war, we wouldnt have. So no, I dont pass my views (which I dont think forsparta is even aware of) as perse being representative of ODN as a whole. But my personal views also had little to do with ODN going to war here. Or with ODN liking and supporting our good friends in NPO for that matter (NPO is widely trusted and respected in our alliance. As is fitting for an mdp ally). So mostly I would chalk the question up as irrelevant

Ohh I meant to comment earlier too. This quote is in a nutshell exactly whats wrong with this place ((OWF and all its attached places). Someone posts some BS, such as schatt does. If you DONT respond, the talking heads will go 'ohh you agree with him you were scared to contradict.' If you point out the blatant BS nature of the comments, you are "trying too hard" and must be lying. In other words, in this particular venue no one actually cares what you say or don't say, its just propaganda circling propaganda. And people wonder why theres a lack of intelligent conversation in this venue heh.

I wasnt aware that we are now blaming alliances that happened to fight in the same war for reps demanded by third party alliances. What on earth GOONS.. an alliance never allied to me... demanding reps of you has to do with me I have no idea. Unless you mean that no, I wouldnt peace out separately in a coalition war. That, like not demanding reps, is something I dont believe in. I'm consistent like that. What you're really saying, is my stances have hurt you personally so you've an axe to grind. When you find *ME* demanding reps you can come make your point. In ant event, point, on balance i'm a fan of this treaty.

TBH I would be rather honored to be an honorary NPOer. I like 'em. Mind I still wish I could have been made an honorary MKer, but I suppose that boat sailed. edit to add: Theres actually a couple of alliances over the years who DID give me honorary status. But its usually just been a ribbon and a title.

So lets look at your BS claims none of which show odn trying to get reps or eternal wars: In his perverted part in a perverted play, he directed the forces of ODN in enforcement of peace terms in the DH-NPO War which included $2.427 Billion in reparations ($1B from Legion alone), and a month long extended war against the top tier of Pacifica. Uhh yeah. Hate to break it to you, but that wasnt ODN. In fact I said at the time getting reps was a mistake. So not sure what you are smoking. I can't control soverign alliances. All I can do is control my own actions and opinions. In the Dave War, ODN itself demanded an extended war of top-tier MCXA nations.Uhh yeah. We demanded a week of war iirc in an even duel of ten nations versus ten nations. Thats hardly eternal war. Ohh the horrors clutch your pearls. In the TOP-C&G War, ODN stood shoulder-to-shoulder with its allies and coalition in demands for reps totaling over $1 Billion and tens-of-thousands of tech (most of it blood money to GOONS), and 40,000 tech from Legion.Wasnt in charge of ODN then. ::;considers::. a lot of odners felt justified in that due ot the pre-empt. But what the hey. Before my time. So.... should I take your post to mean you are impressed with how consistent I am in never demanding reps or eternal war?

IVe no issue with that actually, considering they werent allies. Ive no issue with TPF hitting NPO here either. I DO have issues with talk of the war going on for years. I am in an alliance that during my time in it has acted properly. IF I had an issue with my alliances actions I wouldnt be in it obviously. So yeah. Again. I actually approve of wars that are started because of 'i dont like you.' I was fine with it when TPF did it now. I was fine when MK did it in grudge war. I'm always going to be fine with that. I get TPF is now playing coy and refusing to give a clear answer on eternal war on principle. But ive seen now a few statements about wars going on over a year (whether they can pull it off or not is another question). That to me is the no-no. Not the aggressive action. edit to add: And I wasnt around for the goons thing to answer your question there. Im not qualified to argue about it one way or another. If you want to talk about say DH-NPO going forward i'm well versed. Slightly less well versed but present for bi-polar and karma.

Actually I wasnt around when NPO held FAN in war for years. Well I suppose tech right at the end I was around, but I was pretty much a clueless new guy. I wasnt supporting it certainly. When I became aware of it (around karma), I admired FAN for holding out and had a severe distaste for any who would do that to them. How hypocritical would I be that I supported FAN against NPO if I didn't now support NPO over TPF? When TPF is waging an aggressive eternal war? Its not about size to me, its about right or wrong. IVe fought against NPO and with them over the years. And ive no idea whether anyone cares if I have an issue with it or not. I also don't care if they do or don't. To me it seems wrong. Im going to share my opinion for that in the public venue made for sharing that opinion. You are free to ignore me, argue with me, or scream in rage. I oppose certain things in bob. Reparations. Eternal wars. A few others. I oppose them whether my allies do them or whether enemies do them. Ive certainly shown over the years ill take unpopular stances because its what I agree with. So yeah. Multi year wars are disgusting. In my personal opinion. Whether thats my ally doing it or my enemy.

Well for someone who doesnt care about what I think you all are sure posting about it a lot ::amused::. Look, you arent required to agree with me. And I suspect you dont or you wouldnt have done these actions. But my opinion is worth as much or as little as everyone elses here. Saying "I dont care about what you say, shut up shut up shut up" doesnt really carry much weight. We may not ever agree on this. But that has nothing to do with whether I should be voicing my opinion or not.
