Recruiting brings new life into the alliance in the form of new members, new ideas, new energy, and not to mention all those new tech deals. With recruiting being such a crucial skill in Modern Bob, it is only natural that alliances will wish to measure their abilities against their friends and neighbors. With this in mind, we have arranged for a friendly recruiting contest between some of the leading alliances on Bob. The goal of this contest is to provide a chance for alliances to test their skills against each other, have a lot of fun, and above all else recruit! [size="4"][b]The Competitors: [/b][/size] This may very well be one of the most epic recruiting contests of all time. Our all-star cast includes the following alliance: [b][color="#663300"]Global Alliance And Treaty Organization[/color][/b] [color="orange"][b]The International[/b][/color] [color="#ff8c00"][b]Orange Defense Network[/b][/color] [color="#0000ff"][b]New Polar Order[/b][/color] [color="#800080"][b]United Purple Nations[/b][/color] [color="black"][b]Sparta[/b][/color] [size="4"][b]The Rules:[/b][/size] They are simple. Alliances may recruit how they wish ((within the rules of the game of course.)) A recruit is counted when they post their oath or its equivalent. They do not need to complete the application process in order to be counted as recruited, they simply have to have started it. The contest will run from May 7th to update on June first. We will attempt to keep the standings updated daily throughout the contest so we can see how the scores fluctuate throughout. Finally, while this should be fun for all, at the end of the day there can be only one true winner! The alliance who has recruited the most and attracted the most new members to their banner will be declared the winners. Prizes for winning include the following: More new members than you can count Eternal bragging rights The envy of your peers The right to claim the title "Best Recruiting Alliance" A Shiny Trophy. [size="4"][b]Final Standings: [/b][/size] [b][color="#663300"]Global Alliance And Treaty Organization[/color][/b]: 144 [color="#800080"][b]United Purple Nations[/b][/color]:126 [color="#ff8c00"][b]Orange Defense Network[/b][/color]: 87 [color="#0000ff"][b]New Polar Order[/b][/color]: 76 [color="black"][b]Sparta[/b][/color]:38 [color="orange"][b]The International[/b][/color]: 3 [size="4"][b]Commentary:[/b][/size] Well, the contest is officially over. After 26 days of recruiting, the final standings are in... and we have a winner. After an amazing surge over the last two days,GATO secured first place for themselves finishing with 144 recruits. They win the bragging rights and the very official title of best recruiters on the planet! To get a sense for how staggering this achievement is, just take a look at how many alliances out there don't even have 144 members total, let alone 144 in a month! Looking at our other contestants, though they did not win the competition, UPN came close and battled GATO down to the very last days of the contest, finishing with an equally impressive 126. UPN and GATO were our only two alliances to break the 100 mark. Coming in third place is ODN with 87 recruits, a very respectable number for the contest. NpO made a late surge for third place, but fell just short with 76 recruits. In fourth place was Sparta with 38 recruits, not enough to win the contest but quite an impressive number by normal standards! Finally INT, who decided to take a quality not quantity route, rounds off the contest. I know I had a lot of fun running this thing, and I hope all the alliances enjoyed taking part in it. Seriously, good show everyone. By my count together we recruited 474 people, a truly staggering number. Anyway, thanks again for the fun competition everyone, and congratulations one more to GATO!
