It's nice that some people have supported me in this duel (and I'm pleased Corinan has his supporters too) but I feel a bit guilty about the talk of courage and honor. This duel is much more about money than anything else.

Corinan laid a wad of cash (his war-chest) on the table and asked if anyone in CSN wanted to match it. CSN has a no-dueling policy but I liked Corinan's brashness so I decided to lay my wad of cash (aka war-chest) on the table too. I don't mean to belittle either his act or mine; there's something both revolting and fun about the ostentatious display of wealth!

We agreed to restrict it to a 7-day war so neither of us are risking anything really. We both have plenty of cash and all that will happen is that we'll spend a month or two's tax collection in a week, not something that I imagine either one of us will suffer sleepless nights over. I'll enjoy trying to make the war cost him more than it costs me but it's not an emotional challenge.

The problem with most thrown gauntlets is that their owners either have nothing to lose or know that they're not going to lose anything of real value.

Just from an objective standpoint, I don't really see how Corinan can win. Your additional infrastructure doesn't mean much in a nuclear war, especially when you have no navy. You'll either be spending big bucks buying back carriers or giving away both naval and air superiority, and it doesn't seem like you have anything else to make up for that.

Why did you buy so much infrastructure anyway? You must have spent what, 600M? Can't seem to find the stats on your warchest but that's a big hit even if you're Vladimir Stukov.

I nuked Corinan with naval support (he blocked one) and my spies destroyed $10M of his cash. There was some other minor damage to him from Naval attacks, CMs and Bombing raids.

Well Corinan is dishing out most of the damage, unless the guy he is attacking nuked him as well. Corinan hasn't been hit much at all, but Taut has been hit pretty hard for the first couple of days into the war.

NSO fought off an alliance almost twice their size, while being at war with others and when there was a possibility that their allies might get dragged in, NSO told them Save your infras, this is our fight! I'm sure if CSN and NSO had squared off one on one before the war it would have not ended well for you.

Also don't confuse military prowess with the numbers of allies you had fighting them. It makes you look silly.

CSN has a warped impression of their place on NSO hearts. They need to define themselves through some enemy and they picked NSO. Everything about the alliance, starting with the color and the flag, is dull. Fark, NpO, MK... those are the alliances talked about in NSO.
